It is indeed illegal and I am at a loss to understand why we never hear of prosecutions for it.

Mind you, tail docking's illegal too, and has been for years, but I still see docked dogs around.

Both are still legal if it's done by a vet for medical reasons.

You just have to say the dog was like that when you got it.

I found this while browsing. Note that one of the cropping styles is called the Battle Crop. But I thought pits weren't fighting dogs?

Is there any rational reason for cropping these dogs' ears other than making them look hard?

You could always avoid having to put the cone on your dog by NOT CROPPING ITS EARS.

I'm surprised the dogs don't do that when dickheads start the cutting.
