I'm hoping for an official coalition - I think the Liberals will be weakened enough to agree.
How significant a factor do you think this blacking up business has been?

Do you not think that might not be in the interests of the NDP? You don't think they may not ending up suffering the fate that many parties that have gone into coalition as a minor partner (LDs, German SPD, etc) have and end up with a backlash against them?I'm hoping for an official coalition - I think the Liberals will be weakened enough to agree.
In Ireland, the smaller parties in coalitions are known as "mudguards", because they cop the flak that the big parties avoid.Do you not think that might not be in the interests of the NDP? Well looks like Trudea will hold on. Does not look like a good night for the NDP even though it is possible they will end up in government. With a different leader, I would predict a "surprise" surge for Andrew Scheer and a narrow Conservative majority, but nobody likes Scheer so I think there's a good chance of a Liberal-NDP coalition, with Trudeau remaining as prime minister. Not ideal, but still hopefully the most leftist government Canada has had in a generation or two.
McKenna, who has served as the minister of Environment and Climate Change since 2015, said employees at her office noticed the vandalism on Thursday, which depicts the word “c--t” in red spray paint over her face in the front window.
“I was not happy to see that and it was actually really upsetting for the people that are in my office,” she told CTV’s Power Play. “(There are) a lot of women who work in my office, they volunteer, and they had to see that.”
In it, the Canadian Prime Minister can be seen chatting with French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Britain’s Princess Anne.
Johnson asks Macron: “Is that why you were late?”
Trudeau then says: “He was late because he takes a 40-minute press conference off the top,” which was a reference to a lengthy and unscheduled question-and-answer session held by Trump earlier in the day. However, Trump was never mentioned by name.
Donald Trump fired back at Justin Trudeau on Wednesday, calling him “two-faced” after a video surfaced showing several NATO leaders talking about the U.S. president without him present.
Trump made the comment during a photo-op with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
He told reporters he believes Trudeau was upset about him bringing up Canada falling short of the NATO target of spending two per cent of its GDP on defence.
“He’s two-faced. And honestly, with Trudeau, he’s a nice guy. I find him to be a very nice guy, but the truth is that I called him out on the fact that he’s not paying two per cent and I guess he’s not very happy about it,” Trump said
“He’s not paying two percent and he should be paying two percent. It’s Canada, they have money.”
Fairly sure no-one is feeling sorry for trump tbh
