The McVeigh type 'protests' don't require a permit unfortunately. Neither can they be easily prevented. Neither do they need to be in the Capitol for that matter.

So there is some talk of the 25th. I have a couple of questions...
If trump is removed by 25 will it prevent him running again in 2024.
Is there any legal mechanism to prevent his children running in 2024? Because if one of them does run, and win, you just know it will be Trump snr actually running things.

It is just kind of grim to follow these thoughts through. We always have the default of community organisation, unions etc. But those are a fuck of a lot of work in and of themselves, for people with not much time, and usually targeted to specific outcomes. When you have an opposition that wholeheartedly embraces populist tactics, that is happy to work through the normal avenues of power, press etc. Has money. Fuck do you do?
