US election 2020 thread

I think the court case’s request after all the nonsense is that Georgia should bin all of the ballots and declare trump the winner. Can’t guess whether anyone even the author herself thinks there’s any chance of that actually working.
It's that Georgia (the electoral college) shouldn't count if they don't void mail-in votes. So not flipping but voiding.

butchersapron You know how 2 of trump's star lawyers ( so given massive platforms for the past month to all of his followers) are fullblown QAnon people - do you think the only reason for that is basically that nobody sane would take the job?

I don't think that there is any process to get a job there. It's just whatever loon is identified or can identify as helping the project.

Rockefeller Republicans still exist

side note, i grew up in a rockefeller republican household. the manhattan republican party has gone full trump.

McIness later emerged from the club wielding a plastic samurai sword he used to reenact the assassination of Japanese socialist Inejiro Asanuma,

where you'd find rockefeller/javits/lindsay republicans now i wouldn't know. those people didn't even like bush much.

Well - it started good, and then...

"Certainly I will, and you know that," Trump said when asked by a reporter about leaving the White House if Biden is declared the winner on December 14. "I will and, you know that."

"It's going to be a very hard thing to concede because we know there was massive fraud," Trump said without evidence.

"As to whether or not we can get this apparatus moving quickly -- because time isn't on our side, everything else is on our side, facts are on our side, this was a massive fraud."

The President falsely added that if Biden is declared the winner, the Electoral College, "made a mistake, cause this election was a fraud."

Pressed on his comments, Trump snapped at the reporter. "Don't talk to me that way. I'm the President of the United States. Don't ever talk to the president that way," he said.

Having just watched the full unedited news conference Trump gave yesterday, I can say without doubt in my opinion. He is totally unhinged.
He will be leaving the White House in restraints.

He has definitely lost whatever remained of his mind - even in the small proportion of the press conference that he didn't spent ranting about election fraud he sounded more like a sociopath than ever - when an Air Force commander told him he wanted to highlight two people killed during the deployment, Trump totally failed to acknowledge and went straight into boasting about new equipment.

On the ground that protects 120 joint coalition and contractor personnel here in Kuwait, also super proud to be able to obviously represent American interests out here, and super excited to talk to you today as well. Two folks I wanted to highlight who could not be here with us today, these two units, lost individuals during this rotation which was Sargent Oulette and Senior [inaudible 00:12:27]. Great Americans, one from each of the units that’s represented here and your conversation with us is a great morale boost, so much appreciated for you doing that sir.

Donald Trump: (12:38)
Well, I appreciate it. I love doing it, actually, and I’m very proud of it because we’ve spent so much. When we took over, our military was very depleted. You know that very well. You know it probably better than most with the Air Force because the planes were old. They were tired and now you have all brand-new F35s coming and others ... When I came in four years ago, hard to believe almost four years ago, we were in sad shape and now we’re in phenomenal shape.

The line, to the journalist who doubted him, I paraphrase, “don’t speak to me like that, I’m the President, you are a lightweight” says just how much respect he has for others. He’s lucky it was Thanksgiving and not snake-whacking day.

He's probably decided to make the most of saying it while he still can.

Barack Obama recently said it really sunk in that he was no longer president when the car he was being driven in stopped at a red light - he still had a driver, but there was no longer an escort clearing the way for the presidential motorcade. Easy to imagine Trump turning purple with rage on the afternoon of Jan. 20, when the limo stops at a traffic light on the way to Mar-a-Lago.

I've just watched it, and agree he comes across as totally unhinged, I can't wait for the orange twat to be escorted from White House.

I haven't seen it but think it was clear exactly how much respect he has for other humans at least 4 years ago, with the old 'locker room talk'. Thing is i think it's not an accident that he's a pathological egotist imo that's been part of his appeal all along.

Fill yr boots.
I've had a brief look. It's definitely 'release the kraken', rather than 'released from a crack den'? Because going by that it's really hard to tell.
