Tottenham Hotspur 2020-21

That was ludicrous, as was yesterday’s penalty against Palace. What the fuck prompted FIFA to introduce this rule?
willy boly scored with an accidental hand ball a couple of seasons ago. "you can't score with a hand! this is outrageous!" screamed the press, pundits and commentators. next season a ridiculous rule is brought in where any touch on the hand by an attacking player leading up to the goal is handball and the goal ruled out. this lead to less goals as it only applied to attacking players. now they applied it to all players, adding penalties and goals to balance it out. all because willy boly accidentally scored with his arm as he missed the header he was diving for.

We were hammering Newcastle 1-0 up until that point! TBF the GK & woodwork had a hell of a game..

The penalty was almost inevitable though. Beyond ‘should’ve killed the game off in the first half’ the free kick, push in the back, potential off-side and completely unintentional hand ball were all ignored in favour of giving Sky (& other media companies) more ‘talking points’.

Football has been ruined by these pencil necked, frauds in suits. Palace yesterday, Spurs today. Who is next? Won’t be Man U that’s for sure...

I was looking forward to seeing how Bale got on, but today was the last straw, fuck football, it's broken, I'm done getting involved.

wouldn't call a 1-0 hammering. Now West Brom hammered Chelsea in the first half on Saturday

Well that was unexpected! Arguable as to who put out the more "2nd string" side but always good to knock out Chelsea no matter the circumstances.

Reguilon made a mistake for their goal but made up for it with ours, the lad has something Ben Davies hasn't - pace to burn. With him and Doherty we might finally have the Walker/Rose width back.

Harry Kane really is some player. Just when you think he's maybe reinventing himself as a playmaker and creator, up he pops with yet another hattrick - in 3 league and 3 Europa matches, that's 6 goals and 5 assists.

Be interesting to see how the loan of Benfica's Vinicius works out at Spurs . Top scorer in the Portuguese League last year, scores in the box and likes to try and move inside for a shot. , good finisher but quite erratic performances where he'd either score two or go missing. entirely. Benfica's failure to qualify for the CL has brought them cash problems so hence the sales of Ruben Dias to City and Vinicius's £45m price tag if Spurs decide to buy him.

How good is Kane in that false 9 position! Him and Son work so well together. Why can’t that be replicated for England with Sterling (okay Son is better than Sterling) making runs onto those beauty balls from Harry.

One of those days, I guess. Great goals and great last goal to level it.

Another Kane to Son goal, 3 ugly points but 3 important points.

We dropped 2 against West Ham through a combination of our own ineptitude and their inspired late will, but a look at the league table shows we're in 5th - one plainly incorrect 97th minute penalty against Newcastle away from being top on goal difference.

2nd in the fledgling league table, 2pts per game so far.
Bale scoring the winner and getting back to full sharpness.
Kane level with Sir Les in 10th on the Premier League scoring charts by the age of 27.
Players of the quality of Lucas, Dele, Lamela, Vinicius, Sanchez, Rodon, Davies, Winks, Aurier not in the first choice 11. Even Joe Hart has looked decent when he's played.

When our front 3 are all fit and firing together and we find the game to play a midfield of Lo Celso, Hojbjerg and Ndombele - someone is going to take a pasting. More than a Man Utd away pasting.
