FA Cup 2020/21

Chelsea created next to nothing, Werner was terrible and messed up the best (only real?) chance they had. He stayed on the pitch way too long. Leicester had the best players in Tielemans, Schmeichel and Fofana.
We didn't create enough that's for sure and we were underwhelming aside from the last 15 mins. However the two best saves were Schmeichel, best opportunity fell to Mount and Chillwells knee cap was offside. Leicester can a very difficult team to play against , they are third in the league on merit . Anyway, see if we can get to the final for the third year on the trot next year.

Yeah Schmeichel's saves were brilliant and obviously that goes down to Chelsea creating but I thought they were really disappointing, especially how they came out for the second half. I was expecting fireworks and if anything they'd got worse.

I was a neutral, but it was one of those Cup Finals where the neutral finds themselves rooting for one team.

And ignoring the fact he didn't run from his own half that strike from Tielemans was more than shades of Di Matteo's quickest ever Cup Final goal.

Well pleased for Leicester.

I do love how the players, fans and commentators love the owners too.
Demonstrates that owners don't need to be money grubbing arseholes

Weren't they owned by that prick who got himself and four other people killed because he was too rich and important to take a cab?

A game with two amazing moments - the goal and Schmeichel's second save - but overall a bit flat. Yes of course, Chelsea created the chances that led to the saves, but the disallowed goal was down to Leicester's one defensive error in the second half. Other than that, Chelsea very rarely threatened. Hudson-Odoi brought them to life when he came on, but that kind of begs the question: what were they doing before that? I think Chelsea were a bit unlucky, but I also think they got what they deserved. Tielemans was the best player on the pitch by a mile, while the collective work ethic of Leicester got its rewards. Classic example of how possession means very little on its own.

That said, it was compelling to watch from the goal onwards. Three players on the pitch at the end who were in the Leicester team that came up from the second division. Their spirit is admirable, even if the hero-worshiping of a very dodgy businessman is not.

Cracking goal and what a couple of saves from Schmeichel, Mount looked flabbergasted that he hadnt scored.

I like Brendan Rodgers, hes a very knowledgeable and humble manager, reminds me of Roy Hodgson a bit.

Enough about andLeicester, we need to pull our socks up before this season ends up a disaster ,,,, starting Tuesday, against...andLeicester.
