FA Cup 2020/21

They are giving it a good go here Barnsley twice they’ve come nearest to scoring . Pitch is a bit of a nightmare and they look a big side , close down well and break quickly . We had a good pen appeal first half , there’s no var for games not played at EPL grounds though . Anyway don’t like var so that’s just one of those things . Chelsea need to pull their socks up here . Abrahams is getting bullied and Pulisic is non existent .

Weird set up with Emerson on the left of the back three as well , although he’s been ok as it goes . Bit disappointed with Ziyech as well

Hudson Odoi and young Billy are doing well.

I've got a bet on Christensen to get a goal at 7/1 on account it's his 100th appearance.
Be a good bet if he actually ventures into their half.

Fair play to Barnsley kept going to the end and had both a game plan and belief .
For Chelsea I was happy with Gilmour , Tammy first half ,Zouma , Emerson , Anjorim for bits of his cameo , Rudiger when he came on likewise Reece James . Callum Hudson Odoi best player . The rest mediocre tbh . Any way quarters next against Shef Utd

Are you watching Blades...we are coming to blunt your dreams

Actually, they're probably more pleased that its us and not a very organised Barnsley side they're facing in the next round

So, quarter final weekend.

Bournemouth-Saints would've been my choice to watch, but that and Everton-Man City are on BT tomorrow. Instead us Freeviewers have Chelsea-Sheffield United and Leicester-Man Utd (!) on Sunday.

ETA: To be fair, Leicester-MU could be quite good. I think Maddison is back from injury, so it'll be good to compare him to Bruno.

Leicester (and Everton) have both been great to watch this season, two excellent managers.
I wouldnt write the Blades off either, this is the FA Cup after all.

The Blades made a decent fist of it in the second half, and McGoldrick's miss is up there in the annals of history.

I'm going to watch the evening game on catch-up, because 5pm is a fucking stupid time for a kick-off.
