Tottenham Hotspur 2022-23

At least he didn't go to fucking Arsenal.
Back in the day I worked in finchley. Every lunchtime I went to the innisfree for a pint or two, and often chatted to a couple of the other gentlemen of the afternoon, a pair of spurs fans. And it was me who broke the news to them that sol campbell had departed for the trophy fields - as they were then - of avenell road. They were most unhappy, even tho I told them as nicely as I could

I can't see how anything that carries an image of a vile nonce can be deemed funny or bantz. The fucking beast should be deleted from history.

If Kane goes he'll at least win something, finally. Wasted career, all those goals for both club and country but fuck all of note in the medals or trophy department bar a few golden boots, player of the year and a few runners up medals.

Much more honour in that then going into a team that's won their league 11 times in a row. Smacks of glory hunting

Maybe he just wants to win a title before he retires. He isn't going to do that with England, Spurs, Chelsea or United whilst Man city ( who don't need him ) are dominating the league. Spanish clubs probably couldn't afford him due to there finances, same goes for Italian sides. That just leaves Psg and Bayern as safe bets for a title medal. At least he hasn't gone for the easiest option in Psg. The german league if fairly competetive and will suit the way he plays.

I watched him when he was on loan at Millwall. He was a real handful and would have a pop at goal from all sorts of angles and distances. Quite reminiscent of your old school strikers that could hold his own physically and score all types of goals. Only downside to him is that he's an awful and shameless cheat. I say that as someone who;s slaughtered a few Millwall players down the years for taking a dive. It's the scourge of our beautiful game.

Ah, well, he served you well.

Slightly surprised it's a 4-year contract, but probably just out of convention more than anything else.

He's 30. 4 years is about having 2 or 3 seasons, 2 or 3 Bundesliga titles and German Cups, and 2 or 3 tilts at the Champions League before he comes back (still for a fee) to knock off 50 more Premier League goals in a couple of seasons.

I absolutely love the fella and can't begrudge him this move at all. He's given every ounce he could for THFC over the years, and it's just sad that the club as a whole hasn't matched his ambitions and output. I hope that the next couple of seasons treat him well, and in the meantime we see enough optimism around Spurs that those 50 goals might still come for us.

I know someone revealed the stats that showed he's surprisingly quick, but he doesn't rely on his pace. I think he could play a long time at the top level due to his brains, maybe dropping slightly deeper.
