Can you recall Clinton's or Jimmy Carter's position on Israel?
Clinton tried at least. He got Arafat and Rabin to shake hands and talk
Oh but then Netanyahuh's friend shot Rabin and that was that

As I said I misused the term 'self defence'. For that I apologise.
I retch just reading your posts.
this thread has been educational for me. and now it has collapsed. stop the crap about the civil rights movement!
No, some Israeli citizens, and some elements of the power structure of the state of Israel are.The Israelis are lying, murdering scum.
Most "travellers" are frsh from their national service, so tend to still be soaked in the shitty attitudes they pick up in the IDF. After a couple of kickings they usually mellow out.The Israelis I met in India were arrogant, racist and obnoxious.
No, a nation of people much like other people, with the same problems of poor government, and the same number of angels and devils on the sidelines.Evidently a nation of twats.
it's clear that jc3 wanted the ships to surrender and do nothing..
. he has said that the passengers and aid workers made a choice to resist..
well, I reckon from this thread I've learnt not to trust spymaster to watch my back in any situation ever.
*cough*ok jc3, do you believe the israelis' actions in boarding the ship and killing 9/10 people were justified at all? simple yes/no will do for now.
I retch just reading your posts.
Would be a great idea but alas, vanishingly unlikely. The U.S. would veto it.can someone comment if the peace keeping contingent is a viable option for gaza? is it possible for the un security council to pass a resolution on the peace keeping forces to be employed, because israel is clearly unable to manage aid deliveries to gaza.
Cheap.
Fair point about the derailment but debating with jc3 is like trying to crack a nut with tissue paper and his hypothetical posturings were pathetic.
But besides that, who the fuck are you to dictate what direction a thread takes?
*cough*
over here jc3
*waves*
The attempts at post-situational information management by Israel makes me more than ever convinced that the IDF deployed onto the ships partly as a publicity stunt, and that if it hadn't been resisted so fiercely by the aid workers, weapons and other ordnance might just have turned up "concealed" in with the medicines and other essential supplies.
You'll get some bollocks about not having enough information to say. He's posted twice as many times on this thread than anybody else. And all from a position of professed ignorance. Trolling. Don't engage.ok jc3, do you believe the israelis' actions in boarding the ship and killing 9/10 people were justified at all? simple yes/no will do for now.
have you got anything to say about the resolution of the current crap situation there?
But I'm drawing comparisons with something I assume you give a fuck about rather than some hypothetical thief. .

From what I know of maritime/international law, it's illegal to board vessels in international waters without provocation, killing passengers in the process.
have you got anything to say about the resolution of the current crap situation there?
I'm trying to explain it in understandable terms, with the assistance of an analogy that many people might be able to relate to, or at least conceive of.
I fucking give up.

Every fighter on board that ship a hero.
Every fighter on board that ship a hero.
notedI can assure you that in the face of a commando raid I'd be utterly useless!
