Glastonbury 2014

i did a glastonbury on pink base one year - presumably the same thing. i slept for no more than an hour a day and only ate two meals the whole time. it was great. but i was laid out for days when i got back, thought i was going mental, i was hallucinating pigs :( :D

in 2000 wandering around, met this really nice dude from Yorkshire, Gods own country! we were wandering around late at night as you do...i had some pills and coke, all good. Then he produces this pink whizz! well fuck me, it was well sound. I had heard about it before but it was seriously good shit! didnt sleep a wink through the festival..we left on the Monday...i think i crawled into the tent for an hours powernap before we left....i dont usually sleep till i go home but this was really mad....amazing.

shame not the music he was playing but

As the rain thrashed down and the lightning thundered. As the main stages went down and the Spider couldn't open...this happened. Totally wicked impromptu Bug rave with Mr Scruff seeing us through the storm and into the sunshine. What a moment

It does not appeal like it did. However it does appeal. I have a lot of friends there and I like sauntering around a place. Glastonbury is the place for sauntering, people watching and dithering.

you'd be great craic at a festival, Badgers. responsible and caring but up for the buzz!

was it all fields back then, Voley ?

One night in 2005 we found a field of long grass/crops next to the Dragon's Fields. We took some amazing drugs and lay out buried in the long plants. Just lost an afternoon with amazing people and amazing mixed music in the air.

One of the best meals of my life was at Glastonbury in 2000. Post drugs I'm always on the hunt for sausages, and i found these dudes running a fantastic stall serving juicy toulouse sausages with fried onions and blue cheese mashed potatoes. It was incredibly tasty and really hit the spot.

i met voley at a glastonbury once. he was quite nice. then he put his festival photos on urban. the one with me in he indicated that he had no idea who i was. not that i was entirely clear who i was tbh. i think that was the year wiskey matched me up with a ticket even though she didn't know me. 2002 or 2003. fuck, when did i get so old?

Really? It probably won't surprise you to hear I have absolutely no recollection of that whatsoever. :D

recalling 2004....we jumped the fence...it was more mucky and forgettable than 2000, BUT we did have Oasis. :thumbs:I remember me and my boyfriend at the time hooked up with this sound dude who had this big old hat and a fur coat. He was really cool and sound, we were walking around for ages, sitting down impromptu, doing what you do, it was sunny for a moment and a while later, we realised he'd lost his coat!! i lost everyone, but lo and behold, i found yer mans coat:eek:. I carted it around looking for him, and found him hours later ! it was such a delight to give a man back his coat at night and he was so happy! gave me a big line and a cup of rum. I was reluctant to take a line unless all his mates had had one, but they insisted....it was all solidarity and we necked some pills and off to Oasis

That was probably one of the last ones I went to, I'd imagine. Possibly the one when aqua did a sterling job of helping me find my tent.

'It's in a field. It's a red one.'
I spent about an hour and a half attempting to find my tent one time with a couple of mates assisting due to the world being all upside down and that. We never even made it out of babylon, just walked from one sign for the stone circle at one end back to another sign for avalon and repeat followed by rolling around in the mud for a bit, then found ourselves back at the rave so necked a pill and carried on raving instead. tbf raving was always the best plan until it got light enough to find the tent / find somewhere to kip / realised it was actually time for a shift again.

absolutely not. me, you, wiskey and i think aqua, and a few others spent a couple of hours watching the sun come up in the stone circle field one night. we shared drugs. apart from that your correspondent cannot say!

That was the one when we had Rapid Halva, I seem to recall. i've never zapped round the site so fast.

If anyone sees any England players there, it would explain why they were show shite in the world cup.

They are a very skillful band...i have some mates trying to get me to their Dublin show on Friday. i dont have a ticket but it looks good....not my bag, would rather stay at home to watch the football but they are excellent
