Glastonbury 2009

I'm very excited! Tickets have arrived, have started to get camping stuff down from the loft, fancy dress outfit is all made, lists have been written and I'm going to poundland tonight to stock up on cheap crap that I'll need. I'm off down on tuesday night and am staying in Glastonbury all ready for an early start to get to the festival for gates opening :)

Now Firky is too poorly to come I'm going to be on my ownsome so I guess I ought to start thinking about camping. I'm a bit wibbly about camping as a lone female (and one that may be still on crutches) so is there a girl gang I can join and camp with?

I'm on me ownsome (apart from teenagers).

I am hoping to camp near to Electrogirl and mysterygirl - so can we not form a sort of loosely knit female Urban massive? :D

There should be some sort of urban meet point, but I'd probably never be able to post on urban again if I turned up mashed at glastonbury :D

A 'monsoon'!

A media-hyped 'monsoon' ... :p ;)

Pretending to myself that I'm 'ignoring' current updates to various weather forecasts. They're fluctuating a fair bit right now anyway and not in a great way just now.

Later next week will be a more reliable time to check, but I have 'issues' with weather addiction.

<heads for Priory ... :D >

Get reckless and head for the Cider Bus anyway! :p

Time and day for this sorted yet, I forget, was it Thursday? I'm not on here all that much just now .....

I think the postie attempted to deliver my girl's ticket earlier, while I was at the dentist - so she can discover where the sorting office is tomorrow and go and pick it up :D

I think you've made the 'dragon field' up haven't you?

no it has a dragon splashing around in a stream and everything!

its probabley called something else though.(pinard hill???)

its between the stoned circle and umm shangri la and near all the hippy fields and shit.

You know nuffin you do!

everyone cool calls it the dragon field.

I like it, its near all the hippy fields and stone circle which is good for wondering through in haze, its not that busy so no problem sleeping, not likely to flood. Decent places to go for breakfast near by.

Only problem is that its a mssion and a half to get to either of the main stages and the entrance/exit.

Oh and i have the ability to find it and my tent no matter how fucked i am at the time. This is a good thing!

That's a no from me :)

Is there good mobile reception at Glastonbury? Maybe I'll just go in the disabled bit and meet everyone at certain gigs or something.
