they could just look at the main site where it says so in big fat letters!

These particular ones never go there, will only do so if they get their arses in gear to register, but I don't deny you're right ...

One person on my email list is Spacehopper. Hope he gets his internet cafe shit together, over in Goa ;) , to see my email in time!

Hi William;)

Yeah, I've got a campervan booked for Glasto this year so that might make it easier to get a ticket or leave me touring the Peak district over Solstice weekend with Mrs P and a van full of beer and goodies....either way, it's all good:)

I'm either going to the Glade or Wickerman as they are the same weekend and possibly going to a hard core acid thing called Anti-World on 07/07/07.
Knoggarragh (sp) looks good too and Mrs P wants to get to Strawberry Fayre (as that is her home gig so to speak) but tbh, it's a long way to come from Edinburgh.)

How bout yerself?

Pagan : got shedloads of festies in this year's seasonal plan, but will definitely see you at Glastonbury anyway -- it's the rules given that we missed each other in 2005 ;) -- will buy you some pints ... :)

One you might want to consider (and seriously alternative-vehicle friendly ;) ) is Knockengorroch, mid May -- SW Scotland ;)

I will be there ....

Zion Train!!

Read his post, you balloon! :D :D

If I heard right this morning, Micheal Eavis said over 400000 people have registered for the photo ID. He also went on to say that it was something they could keep for life, like a nice momento

You did indeed hear right.

405,000 applications and counting as per this morning.

Still gonna be a scramble on 1st April then...

It's official - he's barking mad!

I just think he's a good business man - least that's what he comes across in the interviews he gives. Not really the spiritual hippy - and never has been - people would make him. Publicity after this increase in time allowed has increased massively - for the today programme to be talking with him!

It's not really fair on the ones who subscribed before the first deadline - even though I don't think the system very fair to those out of the know (see earlier post somewhere) - I do feel sorry for those who did register, now that the chance of getting in has practically halved with this extension.

So, roughly 1 in 4 of us are going to get a ticket.... ;) :D

Out of the total amount of people registered I reckon roughly 70% (if that) will actually bother to wake up on the 1st of April and try to buy a ticket.

I think he had feedback of his voice in his ear on the radio this morning, sounded a little disjointed and flustered, had it myself before now, it's horrid.

Either that, or he does genuinely think that a lifetime souvenir of a ticket with your photo on it is a major reason to spend £150+

I had some good news today, which is that I pestered the school into giving me the GCSE timetable (got passed from pillar to post cos I kept insisting that SOMEONE must know:mad: ) - and I found out that my daughter CAN come, for deffo, cos her last exam is on the 15th June! YAY!

Spacehopper emailed me today -- he tried to register yesterday, but he absolutely can't post a picture online from Goa into his registration, cos he ain't got access to one ...or to a camera ... :(

He'll be trying for other options ;) or at least for other festivals though, if my encouragement from me to him has any effect. Maybe he'll have a genius creative-thinking brainstorm about Glasto and will end up talking to various friends ;)

He should be back in England some time in April ...

Tell him to sort it out. There must be an abundance of web cafes in Goa and some of them will have webcam to take a pic with.

Not only that but virtually every backpacker will have a digital camera.

Some people.

Absolutely -- if he really said that. it completely contradicts the overt and specific advice on the official Glasto website that the database will be deleted straight after the festival

He don't know nothing abiut that there technology, does Farmer Eavis. Someone inside GFL will have a 'quiet word' with him soon, I hope  ;)

He's a stoner man, not massively techie minded at all, and he only got my mail on Saturday ... too late now ... :(

Wish I'd said what you suggest in my email back to him this morning though  :(

No it doesn't - he didn't say anything about the dbase being retained, only that punters can keep the tickets with their pcture on them...

Will investigate soon, what you say sounds much more likely, but I got a confused impression from posts above cos it's late innit ;)

You know there'll be a trace of your data somewhere - what are they gonna do, wipe their system with big magnets?

It's all a conspiracy to get those most against ID cards to hand over partial details willingly :p ;) :D

Very misleading I'm afraid. Firstly there aren't 395,000 people registered because this includes a considerable number of people who have registered more than once for a multitude of reasons. And secondly I have no idea where that figure of 145k tickets comes from because the license application is only for 137k & even that isn't guaranteed.
This speculation does seem to be the Glasto game of 2007 :p They're even talking about stats and probabilities elsewhere... :D

And there are the muppets like me who registered the teenagers (both age 15) before realising she didn't need to

However, they do need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.................

Not sure if I qualify.
