Not good ... :(
Yeah but I bought the Sun yesterday just too see and well millets was advertising millets. I know it will add to they hype but se la vie. Glastonbury is like christmas. It gets further away from what it used to be and starts earlier every year.... and costs more as the years roll by.

I won't be able to be doing my registration til the week after next, I have to wait til my technical adviser (photography) ;) is free to help me out ... :)

I've wanted to go glastonbury festival ever since i was a little girl, but all my life i've never been mates with anyone willing to go, to go any festival for that matter (they are a lovely but strange bunch)

Now i am a student i've managed to surround myself with likeminded peeps and have registered, now all i have to do is call and hope!

Im beyond excited already, what i know sounds awesome and what i don't know is the exciting unknown. I have access to some rather lovely tents ans a sleeping bag of the gods so i'm sorted there.

This being my first festival though, i daren't think what i've let myself in for! ;)

£155.00 minimum for what used to be a free festival. Kiss my hairy arse you money grabbing middle class, middle aged hippy twats!

And when you turn your telly on and see glimpses of the stone circle and recieve texts and phone messegers from mates telling what an amazing time they're having.

No of course, you will not sob gentle into your pillow, no definately not. :p

No, because I'm not a middle class twat.

Well I camp with my friends that I grew up with and I'd like to to say that to them preferably when they've had a belly full of liberty caps, coke and pear cider.

Should be 'interesting'.

Sure you pay 155.00 or more to wallow in your own shit, say Hi to your 'friends' and do the glastonbury experience before you become the kind of cunt who makes lot's of money just like your daddy.

Well the vast majority of my friends who LOVE glastonbury are working class, (road workers, builders, engineers, bar workers, office monkeys etc).

To be able to escape the day to day shite for 5 glorious days of hedonism is a god send to many.

And for £150 it's still cheap.

I challenge you to find any legal activity you could get for 150 quid that gives greater pleasure than Glasto.

i last went to Glastonbury in 1987 and it was 15 quid a ticket and all you had to do was buy it a few weeks before from a record shop in camden town.

i seem to remember elvis costello was playing and it was very very muddy.

Why are you quoting yourself ? :D

btw, the chances of working at the festival if you haven't before are minimal, unfortunately, unless you 'know someone'.

Untrue. Sorry Ms Moose, but recycling, Green police, and stewarding look for people each year (in recent history), it's just a matter of getting in before the tickets sell-out because (undertandably) organisations have become wary of taking on folk who only apply after failing to get a ticket by normal means.

I'm sure you'll have a great time :)
Is your lovely tent small & light? you'll have to carry your stuff a long way.

Actually, any chance a mod can lock this thread and get rid of this shit? There is 30 odd pages of useful stuff here for people that actually want to go, it would be a shame if it gets fucked up by some twat bringing a personal vendetta onto it....

soulman (and anyone else who is throwing around off-topic insults) this is a warning, please desist.

This thread is about Glastonbury, not a slanging match (the root of which I don't want to know)

You're another deceitful twat. Keep it coming boys...
You know, the annual Glastonbury thread is something of an institution here, and it's usually one that proves very popular.

It's normally full of anticipation and excitement as people try and secure tickets and then it's all about meet ups and after that it's where people post up their experiences.

So, definitely not an appropriate place for your unpleasantness.

Oh, and I'll be removing all the shit from here shortly.

Please note: off topic posts removed. Any poster continuing the spat is likely to find themselves on a temp ban.
