Guardian linky with news on new field for frazzled hippes :p - is this the 'games field' being spoke of a few pages back? - and linky through to registration pages, which happens Thursday at 8am.

That's Thursday at 8am

:)
Millets are already dishing out registration forms. Better run as they have limited stocks. *may contain an inaccuracy*

Michael Eavis has teasingly suggested "the biggest band in the world" will also perform, but Emily Eavis said that, contrary to rumour, this act was not the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Not Oasis plz :(

The ID requirement re. photos is actually stricter than for UK passports or photo driving licenses. Who do they think they are?

Tbf it's not.
You need to send authorised photos and documents proving who you are to get a passport or licence. All glasto are asking for is your name and address (which they'll need to post your tickets to you anyway) and a pic (a scanned one at that)

The paranoid in me does wonder why it will take a month to destroy peoples details though...
Unsuccessful ticket applicants will have their data destroyed and all ticket holders’ registration details and photos will be destroyed within one month of the event.

Sorry, I meant the requirements for the actual photos - I have a stash of b+w pics which are good enough for passports/driving licenses, but not for them.

And the data protection issues bother me, but hey ho...

Oh right. :)
I thought any digital pic or scanned photo would do? Don't suppose they'd be happy if you were wearing a Grouco Marx disguiese kit though :D

"which way to the main stage please?"

"urgleburgleturgle TENT urgle?"

"have you seen my hamster?"

:D :p

etc etc etc

(I can take the piss - i've been there)

he he! I'm "Staff" :D

*hooks thumbs under braces*

So might I be ... not with your lot (although I could well be up for Info giving one year, just not this time)

I'm registering anyway, cos I don't think my chances of a legit working blag through my media ;) contacts are going to be above about 25% to 30%, but with luck .... ;)

"excuse me, where's the ancient stone circle?"

:p

"Where's the best place to score drugs"?? :p

Have actually heard this (seriously) asked while passing an Info Stall, not all that long ago either :D

"Where's the Cider Bus"??

"Where's my tent? It's a blue one ... "

etc etc etc

Then how come you missed out on:

"Where's the cash machines"

"Where's the pyramid/Other Stage"
(Asking at pyramid/other stage info points obviously!)

Can I have a Q Daily (whilst stood next to a heap of them)

Are *insert any band you fancy* playing and when/where cos they're not on the programme but we heard a rumour

Can I have (miscellaneous item) oh, *suddenly sees and takes a packet of condoms whilst there cos you never know*

..... I could go on, but I'd really rather agree with Moose about the pics. Thankfully, I have the spare photos from getting my passport renewed last year, but worryingly, I also have photos sent to me by those who can't be around to register themselves ... I'm not entirely sure the photos I have for them will all fit the criteria. :(

nope, ifyou applied for a passport atm then they are stricter/equal to the requirements for this

I've just done it!

We must get round to it some point

Hub said that he heard Cat Stevens was playing, I love him and thats the ticket in itself for me.

Although Mika confirmed he was playing too ..... Yey! I love Glastonbury *sighs*

................roll on the long sunny days

As you are now infoTort: out of curiosity when do stall holders find out that they are accepted as stall holders and when do they know there ticket allocation.

Ok on that topic, if you pay for a stall do you have to turn up with one? and how much is a stall and what kind of ticket allocation do you get. (gears running here people).

=================================

My Cassandra moment I reckon there are going to be atleast 350 000 pre-registrations. And loads of people are going to get into a huge panic about it. But many of them will be people registering just in case (i.e. people who might be litter pickers or have possible work commitments) and shed loads of multiple applications form people who want to be sure or become confused and reckon the more preregistrations they have the more likely they are to get a ticket. and finaly Im betting on at least 50 000 who pre register but can be arsed to save enough cash or get out of bed at 9 on a sunday to buy a ticket.

But being so over subsribed will cause pandemonium. IMHO.

another one re-emerging after all these years! he's not a contender for biggest band in the world is he?

Singlehandedly. :D

Worryingly, googling 'biggest band in the world' gives you Coldplay, U2, and *NSync.

Oh god, I never considered the hideous possibility of U2, celebrating their victory in the U75's Most Hated Band contest

are staff required to go through this registration rigmarole or will that be separate?

Tort said:

I can only hope that ends up benefiting me ;) but I think anyone not 100% certain** of getting a working/crew/performer pass entry, should register anyway.

**well who want to go at all, that is!!!! :p

My legit working blag chance is a mere 25% or so, so I register, come what may!

In so doing, confirming david dissadent's point above ...
