During the AMOLAD tour, however, frontman Bruce Dickinson hinted at additional performances in the near future. Firstly, he stated that there would be a 2008 tour with songs from the period after the first four albums. Secondly, he hinted at the NEC AMOLAD tour show on 12 December 2006 that they would be playing an outdoor festival of some kind in 2007 (whether this will be the annual Download Festival remains to be seen, as rumours have circulated that the band will headline its own Donington festival). Thirdly, at the show in Dortmund he stated that the band would be back in Germany during the summer of 2007. And, finally, at the MEN Arena performance of 14 December 2006, he indicated that the band would visit Manchester for an open-air concert in the Summer of 2007 ("...there must be a bit of grass somewhere around here that we can turn into a mudbath next summer..."). They announced the same at their Glasgow SECC show, 15 December 2006. At Sheffield Hallam Arena on 18h December 2006 Bruce announced "sometime next year we will be playing in a field somewhere not too far from here with road around it" lending credence to the Donnington Park gig theory. There were likewise rumours at the performance at the Metro Radio Arena in in Newcastle on 17 December 2006, where Bruce said to the crowd "I don't know if there's a field big enough for us and 150,000 fans, but if there is we'll find it."
