What? Shurely not! I'm boycotting Millets after the shit way they hiked up all their prices on site after the deluge/flood/drowning sadness.

That's just ridic if it is...

 you're right :D

Had a look - can do it online aswell ( if you have scanned pic of yourself I guess.

Seems well complicated...

that was so funny. Millets, the outdoor specialists, with their stall facing directly into the wind and on a slight depression, so that it was blown to pieces and flooded at the same time. Oh how we laughed. :D

Please be sceptical til you know the full details, people!

Look what I got sent at work:

is this shite?? Sorry if it's already been discussed but this thread is really long and I'm not going to read it

Need to check this out. Will do so when I get time. Bear in mind it's an email, and may not necessarily be accurate in every detail ...

The 'Millets' aspect looks dodgy. Not so much the rest of it, sadly.

Ahh, OK, see asea got there before me

Do you have any 'official' connection with the Fest asea, or with one of the Glasto sites? ;) :)

PieEye : I suspect the constraints you're concerned about won't apply to 'crew' anyway - or at least not in the same way ;)

Probably not but I thought I'd mention it anyway. Feed the frenzy and all that.

I should have just read the website :D Millets is only one way of pre registering.

This was announced in Q mag last week. I posted a scanned copy a couple of pages back. It is true as far as it goes but no official announcement will be made untill the end of the month so patience please people.

Update: This is new on the Official Glastonbury website this morning

What are the changes to ticket sales procedure in 2007?

As part of Glastonbury Festivals continuing campaign to combat touting, pre sales registration is being introduced this year. Everyone wanting to buy a ticket for the 2007 Festival will first have to register. This will mean supplying your contact details and a passport standard photo. Each ticket sold will feature the photograph of the person in whose name it is registered and will be non-exchangeable.

“It’s a much fairer system,” says Michael Eavis. “It means unscrupulous people won’t be able to sell their tickets on for a profit. The people who buy the tickets on 1 April will be the people who are actually coming to the festival”

You will need to register between February 1st and 28th, 2007. You will be able to register both ‘on-line’ and by post. There will be no charge for ‘on-line’ registration but postal applications will need to be accompanied by 2 First Class stamps to cover postage and processing. Forms will be available for download from the registration site which will go live on February 1st, as will the ‘on-line’ registration site. Forms will also be available from February 1st from all Millets stores; Millets will donate 10p for each form issued to WaterAid.

Information about how to access the registration site, together with full details of how tickets will be sold and their cost, will be announced on this site during January.

(Please note that no information collected by registration will be offered for sale or use by any third party organisation. Unsuccessful ticket applicants will have their data destroyed and all ticket holders’ registration details and photos will be destroyed within one month of the event.)

Will a line up be announced before tickets are on sale?

Nope. Never is. Full line up is never released much before early June. & don't start moaning cos that's the way we like it. :D

Fuck - you have to register an interest before you even know who's playing

I'm far from happy about a lot of aspects of registration :( :(

But the 'before you know who's playing' aspect is no different from buying a ticket before you know ...

As has been the case (bar a small number of 'reliable' ;) advance leaks for big names) in most of the recent years.

Hmm, can't I just helicopter in when I know for sure that the weather's going to be sunny?
You have entirely the wrong attitude. Report for re-eduction. Wear sandals.

You could hire one of those £700= or so Colonial Marquees on a neighbouring farmer's land, to luxuriate with your posh mates ...

Or stay in a hotel in Bristol and be driven in every day, with your media chums ... :p ;)

hehe we have a house in bristol that will DEF be empy that week anbd we need someone to feed the kittens ;)

pre-registration? photos? blimey Charley, it's a far cry from when we used to turn up on Thursday and slip a scally a tenner for a dodgy wristband;) ....Still, it's all good I spose.....may be a little bit easier to get a ticket this year, especially now Lil Koilie seems to have dropped out. Does seem a palava though. Surely having a 2 ticket max would make it difficult for touts? Glad I'm not in charge of sorting out half a million application forms. Anybody know who is in charge of ticketing this year? I didnt go in 2005 but 2004 was a fuckin' shambles.

hmmm do I want to go work, or go play, or not go at all and try somewhere new?

answers on a postcard to fs, fs towers, fs land, up north
