this weeks filling up fast as i'm working the weekend. but i'll try my best to bring it next week.

Probably not (??) because I'm sure Genesis (without Peter Gabriel) have toured together a lot more recenly than 1976. Even with PG, they reunited in the early/mid eighties on a one off tour to save WOMAD from bankruptcy.

I suppose Michael, bless him, might just have got his facts a bit wrong though -- even though that BBC article implies (without stating) that they've toured more recently than 1976.

The mooted reunion is very much without Peter Gabriel... PG hates Phil Collins, I've heard, which shows admirable taste :D

The Bee Gees for 2007. You heard it here first (unless someone's mentioned it before).

source - interview with Eavis in today's Cornishman

...... and everyone was so overcome by this news, they forgot to post their enthusiasm and the thread sank to page 3. ;)

I'm hot on your heels mate, but the upside is I won't have to accompany my friends to coldplay again this year :) .

I'm going nowhere near the Gibb brothers and Kylie whatever happens....tickets permitting of course...crosses fingers..prays etc

The fucking Bee Gees:mad:

Unless some confirmation has happened that I don't know about, this is a highly unconfirmed rumour ...

And in any case, plenty of other stages

Don' know about the licence application, haven't been following Glasto-related news as closely as I normally would. Will post if I find anything.

But :

Just over SIX MONTHS to go!

:D

they don't herd everyone into one field and force you to watch particular acts you know

Exactly. Otherwise Rod Stewart  two or three years ago would have been torture. But it can be guarenteed there'll be something or other else going on in a completely different part of the site that you'll like :)

I loved it when Rod Stewart played cos I met loads of his leopardskin-clad, backcombed fans who had gone specially to see him but loved everything else too.

Kylie too busy for Glastonbury
"Ms Eavis says Minogue will be too busy to join the Glastonbury festival in June.

"I think if she was going to do Glastonbury, she'd rework her show and I don't think it's going to be possible in that time frame," she said.

She also denied that The Killers or Muse would make headline performances at the festival.

"We've got really good stuff coming in. But there's not going to be dominating headliners," she said."

WoW...........will you be doing a glasto weather report on urban, seem as though I'm now banned from the other place and its like a glasto tradition......:)
