Tony Blair to end his farewell tour with a lil' evening in Pilton. Apparently he's going to join "a popular British beat combo" for a jam on his Fender, then will be joining Cherie for a game of roulette down at Lost Vagueness.

BBC 4 week forecast said:<for those setting up the festie onsite>
Monday 11th to Sunday 17th June 2007
“More unsettled conditions ”
This week starts with mostly dry, fairly warm and humid weather. Persistent low cloud and mist in eastern areas will continue through Monday and Tuesday with some scattered heavy and possibly thundery showers thrown into the mix.
We start to see a more significant change in the weather on Wednesday across northern Britain as a weather front brings rain down in to Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England followed by a northerly breeze and subsequent drop in temperatures.
By Thursday, the rest of the UK will also start to see a drop in temperatures as an Atlantic low pressure system brings plenty of rain northwards across most parts along with a fresher breeze.
The weather will remain changeable through Friday and the weekend, with further spells of rain or showers likely in most parts and temperatures close to the seasonal average.
<Glastonbury week>
Monday 18th to Sunday 24th June 2007
“Warming up in the east”
After a spell of cooler weather in eastern coastal areas, winds will arrive from the west or southwest so the highest temperatures will be in the sheltered east. Areas of low pressure are expected over the north of Scotland at times bringing some rain or showers.
On the whole, southern parts of Britain will stay drier. However, many parts of the UK can expect to see at least some rain at times with the greatest amounts across Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England. Sunshine amounts are expected to be near average.
<post-Glasto week, infuriatingly>
Monday 25th to Sunday 8th July 2007
“Becoming drier”
Pressure is expected to rise slightly across the UK which should mean drier conditions for all. Low pressure will remain close to Scotland and Northern Ireland giving some occasional rainfall with temperatures close to or just slightly above the average.
Once again, the warmest weather will be in the east. Rainfall amounts away from the northwest are likely to be around average but there will be parts of East Anglia and the southeast that see below average rainfall.
Netweather for Glastonbury said:Glastonbury 2007 weather forecast -- Update - Saturday 9th June
This is the second forecast for the Glastonbury festival, which has been extended to cover the period from the 20th to the 25th June for those arriving on the Wednesday and leaving on the Monday.
We are now less than two weeks before the festival starts, and GFS has produced several days of forecasts running to the start of the festival and beyond. GFS has shown a wide variety of runs, which is not unusual at this stage, but we are still looking for patterns at this range, and the following is starting to emerge.
Most GFS runs have gone for a rather unsettled period, with varying amounts of rain or showers. This has also been reflected in the ensembles, with quite a wide variation of outcomes, although low pressure is generally forecasted, there has been a slight increase in the average pressure, with a possibility of the Azores High ridging for a time, which is a good sign.
So on this basis, the revised forecast for the Glastonbury festival, is for a higher than average chance of an unsettled spell of weather. The chance of showery days is well above average, and there is also the possibility of 1 or 2 days of mainly damp/wet weather with longer spells of rain. Sunshine amounts are likely to be close to or slightly below normal with the chance of the Azores High riding up for a day or so, and as a result the sunshine is likely to be concentrated on these days. Extremes in weather seem unlikely with both a washout and a heat wave becoming increasingly unlikely. Temperatures on the whole seem to be on the cool/average side for Late June, but detail on this will come later.
During the coming week, we should get more of a confirmed picture as we move into the reliable timeframe, and also other forecasting models will come into range.
As it was very popular in 2005, the mudbath to heatwave rating has returned - on each forecast we will rate the weather prospects for the festival between 1 and 5 - with 1 being a mudbath and 5 being a heatwave. For this first update we've given it a 2, looking unsettled but not too extreme.
This forecast will be updated in 3-4 days. <ie Tuesday??>
TWO general forecast said:Weekend 16/06
Possibly drier and brighter than during recent days. Temperatures are likely to be close to the seasonal average, although in southern areas it maybe on the warm side.
Week beginning 18/06
Confidence is low, but it does look as though there may be a good deal of dry and sunny weather during the week, with above average temperatures in southern areas.
