Got my travelling sorted (as far as you can with Glasto). Got a ticket on the 9:35 out of Paddington, though no reservation so I'm gonna have to get there early to get a place
I might be getting the same train, you up for getting the train together?

bloody special mail services!

called last wednesday to arrange delivery of tickets today, and have waited in all day, only to call them just now and find that they've had nothing booked in for delivery today, and will have to redeliver tuesday, to my gf's work address, which is cutting it really fine!

aaaaargh!

Whoever ordered this stinky boiling hot weather we're having today can fucking take it back
If it's like this at Glasto, I'm going home.

I'm going!

ticket: they tried to deliver while I was out... need to pick it up
driving license: found it! It has the right address on it too! hurrah!
drugs: need to sort that out
tent: I can borrow my housemate's who isn't going this year
sleeping bag: need to sort out
lift: not sorted yet. hoping to blag :)

yayayayayayayay I can't believe I'm going! Thank you urban75 :D

No chance.

30C in London, which is going some even for me.

From Monday onwards, noticeably less hot. 25C max on Monday and in the early part of the week, whatever happens in the rest of the week depends on all sorts ....

But it won't be as hot as now, nearly guarenteed. 21C to 23C with plenty of sunshine would be pleasant  and is a possibility still.

<prays for sunny but not too hot outcome, to suit everyone>

Sure, if that's possible.

Even with you there! ;)

:)

What time are you arriving Dr J?

If it's later than sometime on Weddnesday aftyernoon, you risk finding a full Camp Urban field -- the field isn't that big.

people have been known to cunningly sneak into that field and pitch up anyway though ... :p

well am now in the west country - failed to burn in italy in a week, 24hrs here and i've singed myself

went out and bought last minute bits today, packing tomorrow and then may go down to site but will prolly wait until monday, an extra night in a bed will be nice.

:)

well, i'll be in camp urban by mid afternoon on wednesday so hopefully i won't miss a place...

I aint no hippy or nuffin...but the south west is getting all gathered up and fizzy for glastonbury. The solstice is a comin and the moon it is a waxin and the ley lines is buzzing with all sorts of juicey earth vibrations. or i've got sun stroke.

yippee!!!
i'm off to Pilton today! :D
BBCweather says it gonna be a thunderstorm tonight....(bang goes the champagne barbi. never mind)...and looks to be fine for the week. Cooler but fine.
See you there folks
x

27C is not cool!!!!! It's bloody hot ...

Over on efestivals, there is till talk of a marked drop in temperatures by the Saturday, but frustratingly, no info yet on how much cloud or r**n that'll be accompaniued by ....if any.

Countryfile awaits ... it's on at 11:30 to 12 today(Sunday, BBC1) and the forecast is towards the end.

Funnily enough mate, I've just checked the forecast on weather.co.uk, and it's now saying fucking rain.

Thursday 26c, scattered showers
Friday: 25c, scatters showers
Saturday: 19c, Partly cloudy
Sunday: 18c, Showers
Monday: 19c, Sunny

Cunt cunt cunt.

Completely contradicted by Countryfile's predictions.

This only went in detail up to Thursday, but had no mention of any showers in the SW.

Monday and Tuesday, Somerset : between 22 and 24C, sunny
Wednesday and Thursday : 25C to 28C, sunny with a bit mor cloud on Thursday.
Friday onwards, no detail, but the general summary 'warm dry and sunny came up for Friday onwards (no caveats). And the system map showed a BIG High Pressure area just to the West of us, so where showers, coolness, cloud comes from in that scenario, who knows ....

Later on today net-weather will update their Glastonbury-specific forecast again. I will inflict a summary and link on you some time after I'm back from the pub :p

At this stage I'm cautiously optimistic that the daytime temps won't fall below 20C, and that we'll get a lot of sunshine, and very few clouds/showers, may well be none, although we still don't yet know the complete picture ....

There's somethign inevitable about the hottest day predicted being Wednesday when we're all walking long distances to the camp sites... :( But sunny ness is good- and I'm happy with 30 degrees - last night it was lovely sitting outside all evening :) .

just getting my shit together and it turns out my house mate has borrowed my sleeping bag whithout asking and doesn't know where it is, oh yea and she can't understand why this might make me a little pissed off

Help please!!

Is there any way to blag entry anymore? Last time I went was 2000 seem to remember being a hundred and one blags - under the fence, over the fence, wading through a river, £20 for a wrist stamp from one of the 6000 scallies hanging around outside... have they cleaned it up completely now?
