We'll be at Glastonbury Tor for Solstice mate ...

See you at Camp Urban at Glasto though!! :)

Am all confused that you're all going for Monday - whats the earliest you're allowed on site? And does this mean that when we arrive on Tuesday to set up the stall, feeling all smug that we beat the crowds, we'll have to fight our way through piles of munted Urbanites? Cos I'm gonna bring me a big ol' shovel..... :D

nah i'm going to stonehenge on monday and glast on wednesday and i think will and stig ar going to glasto town on monday and the festie on wednesday

looks like my boundless groundless optimism re: weather might just, just ring true....

told you Will ;) :p :D

I'm having last minute weather wobbles (absurdly, I admit!)

One or two early suggestions being raised just now over on net-weather's forums, and on efestival's maga-weather thread, that there MIGHT be a Low Pressure to the North of the UK by the end of next week, a bit nearer than earlier anticipated ....

Nerves to be settled once net-weather update their actual Glasto forecast, later today. And the old nerves will REALLY be settled if Countryfile's forecast for the week (BBC1, Sunday, sometime between 11 am and midday) confirms the warm/sunny/settled picture.

LAST MINUTE BLIPS -- PISS OFF! :(

To clear up the confusion ... most Urbanites are not even entering the Pilton area until the Wednesday.

Moose, Mr Moose, Stig and myself, are camping on the Isle of Avalon campsite in Glastonbury TOWN, Monday and Tuesday nights. In readiness for an early arrival on site Wednesday morning ....

All I can say on the subject of the weather (not that any of you need telling but hey ho) is be damn sure to take something warm, whatever the forecast. Last weekend was supposed to be 'lovely' - I can't remember being as cold in June EVER as I was at Download last weekend, and I did hear of people being taken to hospital with hypothermia. Thermal clothes are light, and dont take up much room. Even if you just take 1 vest, you might just be grateful for it.

Anyway, all of you who are going, I hope you have a blast. I know I did last weekend, however bloody cold I was! :)

x

I'm taking the most clothes ever, a bikini and some silly stuff to dance around in if it's sunny. And the mother of all wellington boots.....

Fucked if I'm going unprepared this year :D

My tickets arrived TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes - I am off next Wednesday morning from little old Brixton - I'm working in the Jazz Lounge - which is essentially a Lounge - with jazz in...it's located at the top of the markets area - or "Babylon" - if you enter the markets area from the top of the Jazz World field it's between that gate and the Meeting Point - it would be nice to see any and all of you in their at some point - it's going to be exciting, full on jazz orientated music by some of the UK's best jazz musos. Apart from that I'll be getting off my nut by night all over the shop - I reckon the weather can't be any worse than it was last year - the weekend before it was pissing down last year so even if we get a few showers it's not going to be the windy shit storm it was last year.

And the other thing we can already be thanksful for is not having to watch Beckham spooning a penalty and England losing another game of footie - that really was a messy night last year...all manner of powders and potions and a sore throat was the end result of that...

It's going to be awesome this year - I have a good feeling about it...

I'll defiinitely look in ... Jazz isn't really my thing, but Glasto is about opening yourself to new things, or new perspectives on them ... :)

If you are free either Weds or Thurs evening, come along to the Cider Bus meet -- lots of Urban people will be there ... :)

I'll definitely try and pop up to the Cider Bus - it's been a while - it would be lovely to meet a few of you lot - and no worries about the liking jazz thing - my one theory when trying to intorduce people to it is to get them to hear it live - it makes a lot more sense then - and like you say Glasto is about getting new shit - and I'll be on the hunt for new sounds as well - whatever and whereever they may be.

Cheers

Mike

If anyone is going back to Wales lateish on Monday and fancies dropping me off in Bristol I'd love to hear from them.

I'll be about on Tuesday, no idea what I'll be doing though.
