mr steev said:I've never been on the train but afaik there is a shuttle service (for ticket holders only) from Castle Carey Station that drops you off at Gate A. I suppose the lenght of the walk depends on where you're going to be camped.
Lord Camomile said:What I'm wondering is, would it be wise/practical to go up late on the Tuesday? I imagine quite a few people are doing this but in because of that are locals not particularly favoured towards such folk? Or is the train worth a look. scumbalina said:Am all confused that you're all going for Monday - whats the earliest you're allowed on site? And does this mean that when we arrive on Tuesday to set up the stall, feeling all smug that we beat the crowds, we'll have to fight our way through piles of munted Urbanites? Cos I'm gonna bring me a big ol' shovel.....
wiskey said:the bus station is about 20m from the gate - and theres plenty of nice places to camp around there (seriously i mean that as everyone walks straight in the gate and to the furthest point of the site first - which means the fields round gate A dont fill up (line kiln & wicket)). i was going to tender a move of urbanite camp this year but i decided it was not my place.
Bob said:Ta - that cheers me up a bit. I love the urbanite encampment place - really perfect.
Yupmr steev said:Sorry if it's been mentioned, can't be arsed to trawl through thread. Where abouts is the Urban camp going to be? Is it in the Dragon Field?
Wyn said:I've just received an email advising that my tickets were dispatched yesterday by special delivery to arrive in the next 2-3 days, but I received my tickets nearly two weeks ago
wiskeythe dragon field is miles away [/QUOTE said:I didn't realise the Dragon Field was the Urbanites camp till recently. I usually camp there anyway, so i've probably seen some of you lot there before and not known, it will be nice to see all of you up there If i can get there early enough to get pitched!
The Dragon field is nice and peaceful (apart from all night LV- but i'm usually up anyway)...and small enough that you can find your tent in the dark....unlike Pennards
Me too. Peculiar eh?Lisarocket said:I got one of them yesterday. My tickets arrived last week though

When you went, did the shuttle service drop you really far away from the site?bluestreak said:i go on the train all the time and haven't got any complaints. i have seen sniffer dogs there before though, though never had any problems.
Really? On the site the 8:35 was the same price as the earlier ones (roughly £69 ); the 9:35 was the first reasonably priced one (around £25).Bob said:I'm on the 8:35 one - there are earlier ones but the tickets are pricier...

That'll be much welcomed.William of Walworth said:essentially, far far less rain than last year if any
To be honest I doubt too many people mind if it gets cool, you can always add more layers/consume hot food or drink/abuse your body until it wouldn't know if someone had dipped your hand in liquid nitrogen ,whereas if it rains you get wet, end of. And as many have said on here, it can very easily be too hot.William of Walworth said:whether its warm or not all depends
