Glastonbury 2005

Is there any way to blag entry anymore? Last time I went was 2000 seem to remember being a hundred and one blags - under the fence, over the fence, wading through a river, £20 for a wrist stamp from one of the 6000 scallies hanging around outside... have they cleaned it up completely now?

If you don't arrange a legit blag well in advance, you're unsorted.

Working blags are available if you know the score or have the contacts, and if you arrange it WELL in advance. If you leave it til the Sunday before Glastonbury, you're fucked I'm afraid .....

Sorry .....

Observer forecast for the week is worth ignoring because it's so unspecific ....

Has vague mentions of showers, cloudiness and cooler weather towards the end of this week, but nothing geographically useful ...

<goes off to check proper sources>

Perhaps tickets will be available following the mass exodus when George Galloway arrives. ;) :D

Ha ha - William you would die if you saw the weather here at the mo! Torrential rain, flooding, fearsome thunder and lightning :D It's great!

Any road, we're off now. See some of you tomorrow, and the rest on Wednesday, assuming shite van doesn't let us down. :)

A mate blagged it in years ago by climbing under the fence... I guess the new fence rules that out then?

It's not impossible, but it's a lot, lot, lot harder to sneak in now.

I've been over and under the fences in the past, but I wouldn't try it now.

first three Glasto's I did were drug and alcohol free and I had a brilliant time!

There's enough stuff going on to keep you buzzin'

No-one will commit themselves beyond Thursday, but I'm prepared to stick my neck out and say that the picture Friday to Sunday will be similarish .....

Presumably the above chart is for Glastonbury (town) In Bloom ....

Well, my body's taken a bit of a battering recently. I don't know whether I'll be able to take normal festival amounts of drugs. I'll take some weed with me, cos I'll probably change my mind as soon as I get there and I'm certain that as soon as I see one of those bottles of pear cider, I won't be able to resist

I want to recreate my first festival experience, where i didn't go crazy on the drugs front. I just sat around enjoying all the music. I'm going to give moderation a go. One box of wine for the whole event perhaps.

i think thats a fantastic idea :D and i genuinely hope that you stick to it as you'll have a much better time :)

getting wasted for 5 days is an odd concept to me as you could be anywhere, why pay £100 to sit in a haze? but people seem happy enough. most of them anyways. well some of them. i'm sure there must be some.

one more sleep. i packed all my stuff today

see you on wed.

wiskers

apart from a bit of weed and a negligible dab or two of speed/coke my first 15 festivals were drug free. even past the point where drugs were part of my life the rest of the year they never translated to the festival. i still dont like getting totally wasted there.

So jealous of you fools gonna go down an try an blag it but lookin very doubtful - anyway trick is to not get started on anything - cos once you've done it one night the next day is painful so you do more, discipline.... as Confucious said: ""A great question indeed! In festive ceremonies, it is better to be sparing than extravagant". Although shortly afterward: "The rude tribes of the east and north have their princes, and are not like the States of our great land which are without them." So perhpas not so relevant here..... :)

Well - I ain't going to be moderate but I have to be careful cos my work involves driving and I'm not taking the piss with that and thousands of you fuckheads to negotiate!

See you on wednesday if I'm not on shift :)

Glastonbury Question!

so a friend of mine is coming over from the states for the festival (hardcore eh) and needs to pick her ticket up from shepton mallet. is there a special bus from castle carey for these people as was suggested in her confirmation email but not since, or do we have to get to SM ourselves?

I'm not excited anymore :(

I've not had a decent nights sleep in days, I've had a odd weekend which seems to have been filled with rows and I can't get myself excited again :(

pants
