Shame about some of the clashes though. Still, I bet I can elicit a murder attempt from some of my mates by telling them I'm torn between seeing Elvis Costello and Babyshambles
Plus your gf paid for the bus tickets....Crispy said:That's the rub, see. I used to be a train person myself but was turned by the hassle free operation of the coach service. You put your bag in a vehicle, sit in a (reserved!) seat, doze off and wake up right at the festival door. No changing to shuttle buses or standing in train corridors. I can't imagine the shuttle bus dropping you anywhere but the main bus 'station' at the festival though, that's a raw deal you got last time.

William of Walworth said:No weather updates today, in terms of detail, until the forecasts sort themselves out.
Still (at this stage!) little chance of rain at all, but lots of uncertainty and conflict about how much cloud, how warm, etc.
Things are just now on a knife-edge, could go either way. Annoying, given how very positive prospects were as recently as yesterday!
Glasto 2005 --- Not looking bad!
Well, we have good news! The picture generally hasn't changed much, and it seems like high pressure will settle over the festival - maintaining the dry weather we had previously forecast. Latest indications show that the festival will be dry from start to finish.
The latest models show high pressure throughout the period we have been studying, this means the weather should be fine and mostly dry although there is a slight possibility that there will be rain around two days before the festival starts, this could of course effect those who want to go early. Despite this, even if it does rain the sun following will be strong and so will dry the ground quickly.
Leading up to the festival it should stay mainly dry apart from the slight risk of rain mentioned above so the ground state should be firm. However the sun will be strong throughout the festival as it will be directly overhead on the 21st/22nd June.
Latest indications are also that it could well be quite warm over the few days, with temperatures between 19-23°C.
So keeping the pattern going, lots of dry and fine, warm weather expected with just the small chance on rain.
Glastonbury sun-burn rating (chance of hot weather):
60%
Glastonbury mud bath rating (chance of very wet weather):
20%
Next update, Friday 17th June
