Glastonbury 2005

Its all those bloody drummers

Anyne who has been to glasto will know that from 4am until 3 am the next day - all the drummers bang on tum tum tum - pradiddle tum tum.

All this drumming creates the rain clouds to gather and creates the rain

Stop the drumming - no rain - simple

At the moment, for Glasto, I'd give you last Saturday's Strawberry Fair weather (chilly-ish, not sunny, but mainly dry) and with grateful welcome ... :(

that would be my perfect glasto weather  :)

Previous years glasto - some one goes round shouting bolloxs at 2 am.

Last year someone went round shouting BARRY at 2 am

whats this years "shout" going to be? :D

 You too eh? Aparently they tried to deliver yesterday. I didn't get a card and i was in for most of the day. The woman in the call centre said 'oh, another phantom delivery- i've had a lot of these today'

Arrrghhh...says they tried to deliver them and left a card....which must be a magical invisible card as I couldn't find it - will call up later and try and sort it out - why aren't Royal Mail doing it this year?

ah, just came onto this thread to ask about this and glad to see others have same prob. Got an email saying they'd 'tried to deliver but no one in so left a card' last week, which was balls as i was in all day, every day, working from home. Then just got an email now saying tickets just dispatched and will be with me in next few days.

So bit happier now, shall wait and see...

With all this other stuff in here?! It's like a blimming junk shop as it is.

I dunno what I want to take. I shall take advice from experts :)

Me and my housemates got left a card on Saturday from SDS saying that they called.

I also got an email from them so have re-arranged for Wednesday.

Hopefully should be no problem.

It's getting soooo close!!

Giles..

Woohoo! just got my tickets delivered. I had a quick look at the other addresses on the docket while I was signing for them and was surprised at how many were close by. I'll be looking at my neighbours in a new light :)

Have you found my ticket yet?

Perhaps some blighter at Royal Mail is nabbing them all for themselves... :grrr:

That's exactly what happened to me. Very suspicious.

Surely this is sortoutable by phoning the company again and devising some plan for a new delivery??

You can use your ticket-tracker printput from SeeTickets for proof that you're entitled ...

Stig was emailed yesterday saying the tickets were en route and would be delivered within the next couple of days. We fully expect to have to persuae SMS to deliver them to her workplace instead ....

That's what I'm doing. Very strange that these cards keep mysteriously going missing, though.

well its not like the tickets are as valuable to an unscrupulous delivery man as they used to be what with all the ID stuff you need to get in. maybe they would leave the card after they have tried a second time to deliver it to you. i've found that some courier companies wont try adn redeliver even if you havent been there the one and only time they try. grrrr. meaning you have to go there depot which as someone has already said is normally on an industrial estate miles from anywhere.

Apparently loads of people known to people I know haven't their tix either.

Seems like this years right royal fuck-up.

:) I'm getting all excited now too!! :)

Even though I still have no ticket, no tent, no drugs and there is a very real possibility that I'll have no money either - but for some reason I really don't care, which is totally out of character. I think it's because my favourite thing about Glastonbury is bimbling around and getting into mad chats with people, and I can do that without any stimulants.

Is there an up dated attendance list? How many Urbanites are going?

Well, the delivery peeps' website crashed under pressure this dinner time.
They were very nice on the phone, when I finally got through, and are bringing mine to work tomorrow. :)

OK after about half hour on hold (was at work so they were paying :D ) got through to somebody at SMS and have arranged for tickets to be delivered to my work tomorrow <crosses fingers>
