Glastonbury 2005

I may have to leave on Friday afternoon and come back late on Sunday as Ive just taken a whole bunch of time off work for exams....So it may be difficult for me to find a lift

I think you're going to HAVE to alter that plan, somehow. Getting between Glasto and London on the timescale you're imagining won't be completely impossible, but it'll be really bloody difficult.

And you'd miss so much of the fest :(

i believe myself and Comrade Ouchmonkee will now be on hand in the morning in the Pussy Parlure tent offering easy listening, 50s big band music and light jazz to ease your cereal consumption :)

There are mornings at Glasto??? :p

William - I will be driving back on Monday - [not too early] ;)

Thing is - I always go back on the M25 and avoid going into South London until J2 - because then I can get to Hackney very quickly and easily, almost on the road where I live after the Blackwall tunnel. (does that make sense).

If that's any use - I think I can squeeze 2 more in - might be a tight fit - actually partly depends on whether i take the wheelbarrow or not. It seemed to take up a huge amount of space last year

Apols for lateness in getting back to this penni.

That's a REALLY nice offer and we think we'll be taking you up on it :)

PMing you imminently ....

Anybody who hasn't got at least 4 pints of pear cider in them for breakfast before midday is a complete pussy in my book! :D

If I missed anything...

May already be mentioned that the Killers aren't replacing Kylie - it'll be the Foo Fighters.

seems unlikely doesn't it, as they're also headlining reading. i would have thought mean fiddler would have contracts against duplications like that.

just back from primavera sound as well. a great weekend watching bands in the open air by the sea. arcade fire were fantastic! the dirtbombs were magificent. iggy, new order, sonic youth great as always.

Is this confirmed??? Not yet on the above link (as of today, Wednesday)
Well one of my mates from Orange said so - he usually lies but may be telling the truth... :p

If it is true: you heard it here first :D

kylie replacement

well, it's got a tbc next to it, but did anyone else see on the guardian website today they've got all the timings for each stage, and headlining the pyramid on sunday night it has lauryn hill - probably won't make it over there for it myself, but at least it's not the killers!

Coulpa tings...

1. When are tickets out?
2. Was there a heavy search last year? We were having dinner with someone who went last year and they claimed one of their mates had a full on empty yer bags search done.

i've never had a search, but they do do big searches on the occasional poor sod. they're looking for glass - which are (not unreasonably) banned on site.

So, if the Killers are replacing Kylie, as announced all over the press last week, why isn't it mentioned on the lineup posted on TOS today?

There's a few other things banned too, fireworks (perfectly reasonably), kites (bit petty IMO, but there are the pylons), booze for sale, chainsaws, thermonuclear weapons...

I'm now getting a message on Ticket Tracker saying there are "outstanding faults with my order". The telephone number is a 9 to 5 and there'll be no-one there answering e-mails.

Shite! :(

Very glad to be off sick, will be here to sign for them. :D
