Far-right response to Southport Outrage And Ongoing Violent Disorder

Reading about people in London not going to work and working from home due to "fear" etc. Is this bollocks?

It's not making me feel great about my (immigrant) partner visiting London next week.
We are allowed to wfh today if we want, the DWP in town (Sheffield) is closed, council and others told they can wfh too. Supposedly a demo at 1, tho I suspect it bollocks. Was in a meeting with various comrades last night, a fair number of whom were reporting these ‘fake demos’ that got parts of towns closed down - but nothing actually happening.

Stoke Newington Old Fire Station (now migrant centre) on the list too. I'll head up there for the counter-demo, though I'd be surprised if they get many fash- they'd probably have to be bussed in and there are bigger targets they're apparently going for today that aren't so far away. Also it's two minutes from the cop shop. Though this does all look a bit fishy- as planetgeli just said, could well just be a list of "targets" disguised as demonstration details. Seems like if they were serious they'd concentrate their forces, especially in heavily left-wing areas, rather than splitting them between several demos within a few miles of each other.
I disagree. If they were going on their usual mo then some will hole up in a pub whilst others wander the streets as spotters while yet others attend one or other of the sites. The groups would be in communication. However they act today chances are a fair proportion will spend the entire time in pubs and may venture forth once they have some British er Dutch courage. So a quick glance in pubs round stokey might reveal where they're skulking. This way they might head to one or other of the listed sites while forcing opponents to divide their forces. Cops in stokey may or may not come out - tho the station's large I doubt they've a ton of cops hidden in there

Oh look, a Tory councillor's wife was inciting people to burn hotels with refugees in them. Jesus, this woman is a child minder too.

He told the BBC his wife made a “stupid, spur-of-the-moment tweet out of frustration and quickly deleted it”.

“She’s a good person and she’s not racist,” he said.

“She’s got Somalian and Bangladeshi kids she looks after and she loves them like they’re her own”.

Probably not for much longer.

Every offensive thing he has endlessly posted on these boards, his username, his always being there to gather email addresses on PM chats, his many house visits to loads of urbs, sorry but if we're talking about being careful online I'll give him a wide berth thanks, best to be cautious. Suggest everyone always remains over cautious.l if they have need .

If anything his suggestion just encourages people to post information that can be used by police.
I've rarely read such a post arguing 1 + 1 = 3

Any bets on a lenient exception being made for her because she's 'learned her lesson' and 'suffered enough'?

It's always the ones you least suspect.

Oh, wait .....

Mrs Connolly is married to Tory Northamptonshire councillor Raymond Connolly, who is vice chairman of the committee on adult social care at West Northamptonshire Council.

Some of her best clients are black.

Not a bad idea. Might check out the pub beforehand, even though it's a Spoons it's usually the same faces every day, will see if there are any new groups. I mean, it's where I was planning to be before this all happened anyway.

(This all depends on my dog being well enough for me to leave him, he's not been well this morning but he seems to be on the mend, fingers crossed).

I know Great Ormond Street Hospital have sent a statement to staff advising that managers should try to support staff if they have safety concerns travelling to work ( they suggest altered travel times), there will be extra security staff on site and all staff to be vigilant and report anything unusual or concerning. A children's hospital.

Ah, sounds like they also read the new article Red Flare put up on Monday then:

Article says the Telegram group has 13,000 members and:

The Telegram group was started in the wake of the Southport attack and has grown rapidly. It appears to represent the mainstreaming of ‘Terrorgram’ content in the British far right, with neo-Nazi terrorist content being shared with a wider audience of anti-migrant rioters.

I don't know how Telegram Groups work, but there has to be a mechanism to get 13k people into a group. Maybe whole groups are enrolled from other Telegram sites or perhaps from other social media? It won't have been any kind of open group with a self enrolment.

Loads of orgs are doing this today. I asked if I could leave now enabling pub before travel to Brighton and was told no. Shakes fist.

Mate, come on, there’s cautious and there’s paranoid. He’s playing an extremely long game if he’s a spy cop.

When I signed-up for the job I thought I'd be infiltrating international cartels and foreign state spy rings.

Instead I've spent over 20 years reporting on hobnobs, baked potato fillings, and the potential for insurrection within Dulwich Hamlet Football Club.

Gits.

I'm always hoping for more WFH days BUT possibly being out and about isn't a bad thing.

Might go for a lunch walk through the centre to see what's happening. Take pics to show its all BAU. Primed and ready to mobilise after 5pm though.
