Many, many years ago, when Peter Sutcliffe's defence was that he was schizophrenic, Jill Tweedie wrote something in 'Letters from a Faint-Hearted Feminist' that stuck with me. She said that all the schizophrenics she knew wouldn't say boo to a goose, and that in this post-religious age, people were uncomfortable with the concept of evil. But her view was that whether Sutcliffe was a schizophrenic or not, he was evil, because if he hadn't been basically evil, he wouldn't have gone about raping and killing women. There's much to be said for this.

Sentences of more than 3 years have their automatic release date set at two thirds of the custodial, not half. It's been that way for a while now so he'll do more like 5 years (my maths is amazingly shit)

McIntyre is a previously unknown 39-year-old neo-Nazi who has had short-lived memberships of the fascist groups Patriotic Alternative and Vanguard Britannica, and was also, for a period, a vocal supporter of Nigel Farage. However, he went on to play an outsized role in inflaming the riots that broke out in Southport, the wider Merseyside area, and then across the country in the days following the horrifying murder of three young girls at a dance studio in Southport on 29 July.

McIntyre set the time and location for the initial riot that targeted a mosque in Southport the day after the murders, an event that saw over 50 police officers injured. He then organised a similar riot targeting a mosque in Liverpool a few days later.

Subsequently, he would create the notorious list of 39 locations to be targeted across the UK, predominantly offices of asylum support organisations. The list provoked fear and panic across much of the country, although none of the sites listed ultimately suffered significant disruption, in part due to a major anti-fascist mobilisation.

McIntyre’s desire for extreme violence and chaos on the streets of Britain was clear from the start. On 5 August, a day after two separate mob attacks on hotels housing asylum seekers, he shared a video of the 2019 Christchurch mosque terror attack, coupled with a caption lauding the shooter: “WHITE LEGEND. FUCK ISLAM. FUCK JEWS”. In reply to another Telegram user who suggested that civil war might soon break out in the UK, McIntyre said: “I say a prayer every night asking only for this”.

Thanks for posting that Lurdan. He seems to be a major if not THE major instigator of the riots. If the courts are aware of this I wouldn't think he will get a sentence reduction if he appeals.

Mr Justice Dove told Callum Parslow: "You committed a vicious and unprovoked assault on a complete stranger (Nahom Hagos) who suffered devastating injuries as a result of your violence."

The judge also said Callum Parslow was "motivated by your adoption of far-right neo-Nazi mindset which fuelled your warped, violent and racist views.

"This was undoubtedly a terrorist attack."

The attempted murder committed by Callum Parslow occurred four months after he had been arrested for sending racist and sexual messages to a Black female journalist.

After his convictions, it was revealed that Callum Parslow was imprisoned in 2018 for targeting 10 women and girls with messages describing sexually motivated murder, torture and rape, and had changed his name after his release from prison.

He had been referred to the Prevent anti-radicalisation programme in 2019 but no further action was taken.
