Yeah, I like Southgate a lot, but I'd really like him if he boycotted Qatar. He won't, England won't and of course it's not fair to personalise that onto him, it's about the FA and the government. And anyway we are well past the point where the FA should have refused to participate.
But in some ways that shows the limits of #214. England are a product of multiculturalism and are taking the knee. That's all great and the fact that idiotic right wingers are on about cultural Marxism is a sign of success. There is no question that Italy will beat Boris's Blokes. They're going to boss the midfield and Southgate knows he has a hole there which is why he panicked and took off grealish against denmark. But it's imperative that they do the job in the most Italian manner possible. Blast balls at hands and so forth. There should be no more than 25 minutes of actual football. It's probably been mentioned but if Emerson plays everything should go down his side. Anyone without a regular first team place like him is going to be a weakness.
