See, I knew if I posted this enough...Still, looking forward to Bairstow's first 50 in 20 test innings.
Moeen has gone past the standard 25 runs offered by Pope and Lawrence and has one wicket so far.
This has been such an excellent test. Too close to call at the moment.
I enjoyed thatI'll just leave this here because I've run out of my own words to describe Root, the article has some wonderful lines in it - and it'll wind up Riley just a wee bit.
Joe Root forgets England’s toils and refinds secret to batting immortality | Jonathan Liew
The put-upon captain might have faded away in his fifth year in the job but instead he has played some of his greatest inningswww.theguardian.com
Why was Jimmy having such a tantrum at Bumrah for being targeted at the ribs? That's just good bowling against a tailender. Is he supposed to bowl long hops?
Partly he just likes a good grump doesn't he. I think also though there was the suggestion that given he bowled four no-balls in the same over it was only about roughing him up rather than getting him out.
Losing it big style here. You start to wonder if England will even try to chase it down from this position.
Mind you after that first day I didn't think we'd get anywhere near the chase then Root happened.
