There's no correlation between being a genius and being a cunt, tis possible to be both, either or neither. I've always thought he was the first but sadly this episode seems to provide evidence for being the second as well.
I don't think Musk is a genius, but he isn't stupid and his business ventures are more interesting than most.People always keep saying that he is some type of genius, where is the evidence for this? What has he done to be placed on the same level as Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking?
Chris Morris is a genius but he never landed two rockets similtaniouslyPeople always keep saying that he is some type of genius, where is the evidence for this? What has he done to be placed on the same level as Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking?

Musk didn't do any of that, that was all the work of his underpaid engineers.
I don’t think that would have happened without him.
Musk is an engineer himself much of the design work on Space X was done by the man himself while Bezos is purely a business man, he is now so obscenely wealthy that he can effectively buy a space programI dunno, there seems to be a surfeit of absurdly wealthy tech nerds about these days. Musk isn't the only one with skywards ambitions, the modern Mr Burns himself Jeff Bezos of Amazon has got his own Blue Origin thing going on.

He is personally about as rich as the entire nation of Hungary

There's nothing on Musk's wiki page to indicate that he did any serious engineering work before starting SpaceX. That makes me doubt that Musk did any more than sketch out the broad-strokes concepts, with the engineers being the ones who turned Musk's visions into reality.
One other thing about that pedo row, in 2008 he divorced his wife (and mother of his five children) after she told him she didn't want to be a trophy partner any more. Six weeks later the then 37-year-old called to inform her he'd gotten engaged to a woman in her early 20s, actress Talulah Riley. You might remember her from the 2007 film St Trinians, in which she played a schoolgirl. Now to be clear, I'm not saying he's a pedo. He is however a horrible bastard who should think very carefully about throwing around accusations about creepy behaviour.

Quite a lot of the media seems to be under the impression that he came up with the idea of a train in a vacuum tube (hyperloop). It’s almost like there’s journalists out there that never read the Ladybird book of Trains, the ignorant cunts. Idea has been around for decades, probably since before Musk was born.

The gobshite is being hoisted by his own pet turd!
HALLELUJAH!
The morally neutral, polymath billionaire saviour figure is a common trope in sci-fi. Musk's persona seems more suited to fiction than to real life, not unlike most of his miracle technologies.
Even his name is better suited to a character in one of those hamfisted Ben Elton satires than to a real person.
It was on the news a couple of weeks ago that a group of stock market short selling funds were on about suing him since this meant they had lost millions on their deals rather than made millions, It is hard to feel particularly outraged about this tbh.Tesla's not going private then, as was entirely obvious from the off. If the US were a functioning state with a functioning SEC, Musk'd probably be looking at prison for securities fraud. As it is, probably nothing will happen.
