I had the flu and covid vaccines last year but they were separate dates not on the same occasion and don't remember any reaction.

Why have so many people voted 'Yes - AstraZeneca', I didn't think AZ was being used any more? :hmm:

Nhs apps updated now and it looks like i got the new omnicrom vaccine...
That's unusually detailed - my vaccine record on the app is pretty basic, along these lines (had a mix of pfizer and moderna)

Date
1 April 2021
Name of vaccine
Pfizer-BioNTech
Batch number
AB1234

Guess it might depend on what the staff input, although there might be some local variation as to how much detail they add to the system.

I had a booster and a flu jab on Saturday. Didn’t ask what type - a jab is a jab is a jab.
Weirdly they jabbed me in one arm and the the other, so it made sleeping very difficult the last two nights. It’s had quite an effect on me too - hot flushes, pain all over, especially my joints, and extreme fatigue - I had to stop my bike a couple of times on my short journey to work today as I was so tired. Weirdly it’s intensified the pain I already had in my hands and neck as a result of coming off my bike at speed on last week. Slapping on the Voltarol like sun cream to mitigate it, but I wish I could have stayed in bed for a few days until it blew over.

When I went in I asked what they were using and they said "whatever we've got in".
That day it was Moderna.

I expect AZ is a handy backup for any supply gaps cos you don't have to freeze it.

General release of cytokines - is to be expected.

Higher release is associated with increased antibody production according to some studies (not the quality of studies I'd use to support a point in an argument, but certainly enough for the "END OF MEAT" thread).

I've been to a different place each time i've had a jab but i guess it could be someone at my GP surgery that enters the data.

They dropped it as quietly as possible after the whole blood clots thing.

It mostly only shows up in government vaccine documents these days as being a vaccine that it is possible to offer people who cannot have the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines as a result of their personal medical history contraindicating their use of those other vaccines.

I have not kept up with the picture in regards AZs continued use in other countries, so I suppose if people located elsewhere answer the poll here, that could explain a few votes.

There's an app?
I figured the record would just make it's way to my GP if anyone cares by the time I need to do something that would cause questions.

They asked me which arm to use and i said both in left (figured as i'm right handed that left was best)

I think the general consensus is that two arms that are a bit sore is better than one really sore arm.
In my case the flu jab was barely noticeable, but the Moderna was a bit spicy.

Yes there is an "nhs app". Not to be confused with the "nhs covid app".
(More confusingly the "nhs app" is the one with your vaccine record!)

It's a bit of a pain to get through the security to register but i managed it.

Never had any sore arm problems myself.

Had heard of the NHS app. :D
Just didn't know the covid vax records would be on it.

And don't have it due to general technophobia (he says, typing on highly suspicious Chinese-made laptop)...
You can have an account without the app I think - you just log in direct on the NHS site and it has all the same stuff.

The NHS app gives you access to your whole GP records - consultations, prescriptions, vaccinations, results - well worth getting - I order my repeat scripts through it and managed to book my jabs through it too

How do you know if you’re a hybrid immunocompetent?
Non-CEV, healthy under 50, who survived [confirmed] SARS-CoV-2 infection/COVID-19 development in the early waves without medical assistance, then has subsequently been vaccinated at least 3 times, is likely hybrid immunocompetent. Of course, you could only verify through extensive and appropriate serological screening and lymphoid organ sampling.

CEV - Certified Electric Vehicle?

Hybrid immunity usually means protection thats built up as a result of being both vaccinated and infected in the past.

So for example I would presume that I am not in that category, since I've had no known Covid infection so far (though I have been vaccinated 3 times).
I’ve had three jabs & tested positive with symptoms of covid for the first time 3 weeks ago - do I need a booster after my 4 weeks is up?
