As I'm only a 50-something, I don't qualify for a covid jab any more.

I'm booked for a flu jab in a few weeks at local Boots. I didn't manage to get one last year and had something bloody awful a few weeks before xmas.

(although i've had something a bit less bloody awful the last week or so)

Me and Mrs Voltz had our flu and COVID jags last Saturday

Both felt a bit washed out that afternoon but both were right as rain the next day

COVID arm was a bit sore’er than the flu arm but all good

For anyone who isnt getting a booster but has 50 quid spare you can get the Novavax booster privately at some pharmacies. I guess some of us haven't had a booster for 3 years now so worth considering.

Had flu jab Saturday and Covid on Tuesday.

I've previously felt pretty crap after the Covid one but was okay this time. Didn't see which manufacturer it was, so no idea if that had something to do with it.

Due to have my flu jab today. I'm worried about having the COVID jab at the same time.

The only time I have been ill with COVID was just after my third jab and was ill for a week. Could have been coinstadental but it given me the fear.

Flu jab in left arm, covid (not sure which flavour) in right arm. No pain in left arm, slight ache in right arm that evening

It was somewhat disconcerting to be the only one masked up it the community centre last year ...

mum-tat got flu and covid jabs on monday (turn up and wait at a pharmacy in lewisham) and hasn't mentioned any ill effects. not sure what flavour of vaccine either of them was.

I was only offered the flu jab as apparently I'm too young/too well for the COVID jab. Not often told I'm either of those so hooray. What age groups is that for now?

Having both on Saturday. A colleague had them this week and madly chose to have one in each arm and is now regretting it :D

Had flu and covid (pfizer, I think they said) last Saturday, first time I've had them on the same day. When I've had flu or covid vaccinations separately, I've never had any side effects aside from a sore arm with the covid jab. This time I felt a bit ropey for 3 or 4 days, though I'm guessing that if there was any effect from the jabs it was that it made my fybromyalgia/spondylitis worse rather than something from the jab per se. Anyway, all fine now and as my partner refuses to have the covid jab :(, I'm certainly not admitting to her that I've felt rough. :)

Got mine at a local GP practice (not mine). Was meant to be getting both Covid and flu but, weirdly, they were doing Covid ones for everyone but flu ones for their patients only (and telling everyone else to get the flu ones at their GP). So I'm getting the flu one tomorrow. 🤷‍♀️

That's daft.

The three doctor's practices down here join up, hire a community centre hall, share the staffing, and do both jabs for everyone together.

Yeah, it's weird. Saying that, my GP runs a very slick walk-in flu jab clinic so... (Pre-Covid, they used to hand out tea/coffee/biscuits/homemade cake too. )

Got mine yesterday through work. I've had zero reactions to the others, but certainly feel a bit under the weather today, but could just be coincidence, although it seems unlikely. Think that's 5 now...

I queued up with all the frail little old ladies at the surgery (the only appointment available that didn't disrupt my breakfast) and was given a speech about side effects aimed at people like them, explained to them that I never really was "diabetic" - which they of course disagreed with ... but in terms of free vaccinations it becomes academic next year in any case ..
(OK I'm 30 kilos lighter, but what the hell does "under dietary control" mean ? except that some people are able to be even heavier than I was without measurable insulin resistance in addition to all the other issues)

I've had the annual invite to have an eye test which I may go for since I don't have to go into town for it...
Hopefully I'll be ready to leave the country in 2026 and will give them a blood sample so long as they agree to do a glucose stress test. In France I suspect they would insist on doing that.
One in each arm. I suspect it was the flu in my mousing arm as sod's law it aches a bit - I should have had both in my left ...

I was looking for an excuse to not go for a bike ride until Monday when it will be warmer and I won't have to share the path with macho weekend warriors ...
