World Athletics Championships 2017

Mrs SI and The Girl were watching upstairs and me and The Boy downstairs on iPlayer, and they were 30 secs ahead of me and I could hear shouting but not what sort, lol

I like her, she tries, but she never seems to hold it together when she needs to, to get over a bad throw or whatever and just move on. It really lets her down.

I do dislike commentators giving us meaningless statistics. Bolt and Farah having more WC golds than Bubka completely negates the fact that Bubka only competed in one event, and for half of his career the WCs were only every four years.

Was at the morning session. Great crowd and some great athletics. I'm a big fan of the heptathlon, and while it was heartbreaking to see KJT stumble (again :( ), watching Rodriguez and Thiam was a joy, for very different reasons.

At 22, we could arguably be watching Thiam win at at least two more Olympics  Although the multi-eventers do suffer at the hands of injuries quite a lot.

Locked in for tonight on the telly. Looking forward to see if Bolt can do the business.

Am going on Monday evening with my Mum who's never been to the stadium despite being an Olympic volunteer (she was assigned to the Beach Volleyball :D) and then on Saturday morning with my bezza and her eldest small for the relay qualifying

He reminds me a bit of Bolt given his height and the way he runs the race. Just saw the replay and he didn't even look round. Gameface
