World Athletics Championships 2017

Holy fuck, that Coleman's a bit nippy!

A bit shocking they were talking about worries Bolt might not make the final.

Oh wait, what's this...?!

Coleman looked to be going nearer to flat out whereas Bolt had plenty in the tank.

Our man Reece Prescod looked good too with a great second 50m. Looks like he'd be a better 200m runner so hope he's in that as well.

What Bolt has to s experience. Coleman has to handle more pressure than he's ever had.
I'm worried about Bolt, too, but you'd be daft to bet against him.

I just saw Michael Johnson's analysis and he reckons he was just doing enough.

Just realised, why isn't Bolt racing 200m? He's always said it's his preferred event
Bolt announced he was only running the 100m here after last year's Olympics because the heats/semis/final for both races is too much for his aching/ageing body. The scheduling wasn't as kind as it could have been last year and I think it pissed him off a bit. Also, I think Bolt knew back then that Gatlin would only be running the 100m here so there's no rubbing his nose in it incentive in the 200m.

Not enough left in the tank to do both I suspect.
I watched an interview with him that Steve Cram did on iPlayer and I got the impression that he wanted to retire after Rio but had another year on his contract so decided to compete but make it easier for himself. His geaet's not really in it any more.

Michael Johnson was saying earlier that Bolt doesn't really worry too much about stuff like going out on a win. He knows what he's achieved, and is content enough - and confident enough - to take this event as it comes. I still hope he wins tonight, mind.

He's down for the 4x100 relay squad too, I think

My mum has been volunteering for the last few days (coordinating/handing out volunteer uniforms) and she apparently heard someone ask "how do I get tickets for the opening ceremony?" :D
