Who will win the 2024 US election?

Who will win?

I saw one being interviewed yesterday. He admitted who he was voting for, but actually called him out for the shit he is, basically admitting how awful he is. But Kamala's a socialist, so you know............ Why are these people so stupid? They all need lessons in politics. The thing gets in every possible term that he can when slagging off the Dems, even though they are opposites of each other, and none bear any resemblance to the truth.
They don't want to vote for policies that benefit them, they want to vote for policies that will hurt people they don't like.

Who will win the White House? Harris

How many electoral votes will he/she get? 313

Who will win North Carolina? Trump

Who will win Pennsylvania? Harris

Who will win Georgia? Harris

Who will win Arizona? Harris

Which party will win the House? Democrats

How many seats will Dems/GOP pick up? 5

Which party will win the Senate? Republicans

How many seats will Dems/GOP pick up? 2

That's from Bill Press, whose predictions I will take with a pinch of salt, this is what he said during the 2016 campaign:

“Thank God for Donald Trump,” says Bill Press, a radio show host and former chairman of the Democratic Party in California. “I think he's the best thing that’s ever happened to the Democratic Party this year, because Donald Trump’s the new face of the Republican Party, no doubt about it.”

Even Hillary Clinton, the likely Democratic nominee, could not contain her glee about Trump, bursting into laughter when she heard his name during an interview with ABC on Sunday.

Read elsewhere that the heads of Apple, Google and Microsoft are firmly in the Trump camp.

It's over isn't it, what a world.
yeah the tech billionaires are supporting him, or at least want to seem to support him, but who knows if that will translate to voters on the ground.

one thing i find weird is that so many trump voters are claiming that they're voting for trump because of 'the economy'. is this a similar phenomenon as the tories being thought better on the economy, or because biden got hit with the COVID inflation stuff or what?

It's because it sounds better than I'm a cunt who hates other people.

Most people don't have any clue about macro-economics and those with least clue are easily persuaded that a POTUS can conjure up jobs and wealth.

i bet they don't think that though? they will claim that the democrats actually hate other people because they want to take away freedoms and the 'rights of the unborn' etc.

what i find most confusing is the ones who fully admit that he is awful and then claim that they're still voting for him because he 'doesn't mean any of it' or something but they 'wish he'd keep his mouth shut at times'?

Two things stand out for me re this.

First many are voting for a right wing regime that they yearn for irrespective of the candidate, a mentality brought on by their their deep bigotry, xenophobia and racism with a side serving of exceptionalism.

Second it's the fear of living in a feral capitalist society without safety nets where you swim or sink and fight to hang on to what little you have got even if that means guns and killing.

They might, but I'm convinced most of the people saying they will vote for Trumo because of the economy are just say that as it sounds reasonable and grown up.

Hope my American friend will be safe, should things kick off, she is out of state today at a conference, then has to get back to Florida.

When Harris wins all seven swing states, she would win the election by 100 Electoral College votes.

Or, control the stock market and gas prices.
this might be a stupid question but if another Republican had been chosen, would it impact the result? For example someone like Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio or even JD Vance. Would anyone consider voting Republican now who didn't before - and vice versa?

Dunno about the average Joe... See above comments on reviving environmentally catastrophic industries though. But also related to the tech billionaires, anyone with crypto, anyone with investments in AI (regulation), usual gamut of arms and oil investments etc. Your Joe Rogan bros, tech bros, probably a bunch of Fox watchers. Sure these are probably short term, but who gives a shit? Make bank while you can.

I think Harris will win but it'll be super close. And of course there will be a mess afterwards. Recount and probably violence and let's be honest Trump is going to either take over in a coup or end up in jail, I cant see him going off to play golf.

If Trump does squeek it then it'll be because of the economy. And being better than the Democrats at pretending he has solutions.

Tech bros are on board for Vance, who they pushed for the VP job. They know Trump will be wheeled off to a cupboard within a few months and he’ll be in charge doing their bidding.
