Ended up doing a seafood pasta, got some scallops and veg and had some frozen shrimp that I added. Tasted pretty nice and light after a less than healthy weekend food and drinkwise.

I had a casserole last week. Just the one. It's an addiction I picked up on the other side of the world.

Still cleaning up odd bits and pieces from the freezer, so a cassoulet-like thing featuring white kidney beans, a pig's trotter, wings and a thigh saved from the Thanksgiving turkey and chunks of yesterday's brisket which turned out a lot better than it sounds. Green salad. Calabrese bread. Dark olives.

Bakery-bought poppyseed tart for dessert.

I realised this morning that I sent poor Mr Yu to bed with no tea last night, no wonder he couldn't sleep.

So tonight I shall make him a yummy Chilli with all the trimmings and hopefully he'll forgive me.
