Another of the hobs on my stove has stopped working so we are down to 2 now

Anyway tonight we will be having (although some of it will have to be cooked on the hob and finished off in the oven to make room to cook other stuff on the hob):

Chicken bhuna for me
Veg vindaloo for OH (will include potatoes, courgette, aubergine, and spinach)
Tarka Dhal
Mushroom rice

Hopefully the rest of the organic sourdough bread we were given on Thursday is still good (scoffed half yesterday), will have some of that to mop up the curry sauce if so!

Oh, tell me about it! I fancied chicken and chips tonight from my local chippie. It's usually really moreish, but tonight it was all dry. The guy apologised for that, though, so their record with me isn't blemished.

Potato, swede and squash mash with a spoon of wholegrain mustard mixed in and sausages with an onion and mushroom gravy over. Absolutely stuffed.

so either nothing, or I can forage what I have in my suitcase -which is gin, a tin of chicken soup and some shortbread.

A sort of super food stir fry - cashews, kale, beetroot, mooli, peppers, spring onions, baby corn - but with the health benefits negated by the amount of salt in the sauce.

Stuffed mushrooms with veg. First meal I've cooked for a few weeks, although this was just a case of heating up.

"Staff Curry" or chicken curry on the bone. Definitely a meal more then the some of its parts, there's something magical that happens as it cooks for an hour on the hob.

Rice, Naan and some Spring Greens on the side.

Last of the NYE lamb stew bulked out with parsnips that needed using accompanied with slightly old baguette toasted with goats cheese. Random but pretty good.

Mindful Chef meal of sweetcorn fritters with black bean salsa and avocado. Yum. Might have a cuppa and a piece of Xmas cake to finish.

Large field mushrooms as burgers in buns with cornichons, chipotle mayo. Frites! Salad.

Warmed Eccles cakes with ice cream.

Italian delivery. Two types of bruschetta, tomato and creamy mushroom. He had gnocchi and I had mushroom risotto. It was delicious. Last of the chocolate and praline roulade later.

Roast beef (bought for new year but didn’t fancy it then), roast potatoes, Yorkshire’s, beans and roast pumpkin, lashings of gravy. The very last of the quality street for afters. Work tomorrow and back to (lockdown) normal

Made a gorgeous saussie and green lentil meal last night, that we had with mashed spud, honey roast parsnips, and sprouts. So so good.

Tonight will be leftover curreh, with hoose rice.

Decaff tea and dark choc digestives for afters.

Operation use up the Xmas leftovers continues therefore tonight will be penne with sprouts, bacon and chilli, followed by the last of the melting middle chocolate pudding with brandy sauce
