What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I've been kept abreast of the NYE menu by text.
Sausage rolls.
Brie and cranberry parcels.
Mini quiches.
Egg and onion sandwiches ..a true test of covid if ever there was one.
Crisps and chocolates.
Last of the mince pies and Chrstmas cake.
All being left outside my door at 11.45pm. Sharp. 😁
Zooming with fam at 11.46pm.

I'm trying to replicate a favourite dish I eat in Fethiye fish market in Turkey: prawns in butter, garlic and chilli.
Mopped up with pide, and served with a side salad.

Fantastic, one of my favourite things!! Will have to put it on the menu soon
 
I was gonna make a 3 bean chilli but forgot to get fresh coriander, so may order a takeaway curry instead. In which case I'll be having a chicken naga, he'll be on veg karahi, pilau rice, sag bhaji, onion bhaji and chips.
 
Tonight will be another night for some turkey, I think.
Possibly with veg or maybe as a curry ...
(only was a little bit left and we've had other things the past three nights)
 
Festive pickings buffet: smoked duck and braesola; many, many cheeses; salad; picked things. Served with hot crusty rolls and butter. Then outside to light the firebowl and toast marshmallows for afters :cool:
 
Chickpea & papaya curry - not had before. It’s the recipe for January on the The World Kitchen calendar. Still got some saag & veg curry from NYE & will have with rice & roti.
