I always use them by the date as I've had food poisoning from eggs before so not something I want to repeat. I've boiled them up so they're OK for tomorrow. And eggs live in the fridge - that's what normal people do - the Egg Council or whoever they are agree with that.Eggs last for ages, so you don't have to use them yet. (You don't need to put them in the fridge either)

When they have finished cooking, take them out of the hot water. Result: no blue line. You can put them in cool water if you like.Bloody hell those eggs taste lovely - Cracklebean eggs from M & S. Definitely better than your average free range eggs. Hard boiling them didn't result in the weird blue ring which always puts me off.
