I've gone back to doing cooking challenges with my mum and sister, and having dinner over Zoom to compare the results. This evening's task is something involving fish. I'm planning white fish fillets in coriander and lime vinaigrette, with new potatoes and wilted spinach.

I don't want to sound smug, but that was bloody lovely.

Curry tonight - medium hot chicken curry with cream for me, blisteringly hot white fish, broccoli, and potato curry for him. Tarka Dhal. Mushroom rice.

I shouldn't moan too much about the courgettes and the runner beans, I'll miss them when they're over. I must remember to grow a bit more variety next year though . Still, nearly time for the mini pumpkins

Veggie shepherds pie. The mash was sweet potato, and the 'mince' was Quorn. Worried it would be bland, so added some curry paste. Worked a treat.

Running low on fresh stuff so might crack open a tin of curry.

I don't fancy anything we've currently got in. I really fancy a chickpea and spinach curry, but it's absolutely lashing it down and I don't wanna trudge through it all only to be disappointed by the Co op's complete lack of fresh coriander.

I've got two portions of 3 bean chilli in the freezer. Might get them out and have with brown rice and sour cream.

Remains of fish/potato curry and dhal from last night for OH, fresh batch of mushroom rice. I am going to poach some leftover chicken to reheat it then stir it into my portion of mushroom rice with some of the curry sauce so it is more like a quick chicken and mushroom biriyani type thing
