US election 2020 thread

Running through states with excited voice saying "Too early to call - too early to call - too early to call" why the fuck say it then?

i just turned it off, reminded me too much of our last but one election which was sooooooooooooo depressing :(

(My niece's GF is from North Carolina -- her family (not her) voted Trump last time. Asked her how they were voting this time. Apparently her and GF hadn't really noticed there was a presidential election going on and it hadn't come up. Also a massive fail on the Biscuitville front, I despair, I really do...)

If for nothing else, I've got whopping touchscreen envy. It all works without jabbing the screen 15 times and shitloads of smears circled around your pin code. I always thought it was operated by a human behind the scenes but it's too reactive :hmm:

The BBC/Reuters map is making for entertaining viewing - I didn't realise it would change as separate county votes came in so it's flipped Florida a couple of times already.

At the time of writing this, Texas just turned blue with 85% of the votes (albeit with "0%" of the votes counted apparently).

It says Virginia has been won by Biden but in the actual result it suggested Trump has more votes? Should I just ignore when it says stuff has been 'called'?

Been looking forward to staying up and commentating this evo as I usually do for UK/US elections, but had a painful fall at work y'day (I'm a doddery old man now) so have had to dose myself up and may not last the night :(
I always thought you were a woman... Hope you're doing okay and y'know, this will all still be going on tomorrow so...painkillers and bed might be a plan...
