US election 2020 thread

What's that all about like? Anti-communism?
BBC said:
It’s a diverse state, with a large Hispanic population - although the Hispanic vote doesn’t overwhelmingly favour the Democrats as it does nationwide.

That’s because the large Cuban population tends to vote Republican. Many Cuban-Americans fled the Communist regime in their home country and can relate to Republican anti-socialist sentiment.

I stayed up watching the 2016 election too. At the time Trump seemed to be winning throughout? Biden has 85 votes now. Also Trump's seems to be winning the popular vote at the moment wtf

Mayor of Miami says vote against Biden is 'a vote against socialism'. Who knew Biden was a socialist....

It’s the way all the bloody states count in a different way that’s so confusing. Florida has been counting the mail in votes for weeks, so why didn’t the fuckers announce all of them straight away like Ohio did.

Trump takes S Carolina.

ETA Too close to call for Lindsay Graham though.

The impact of the Pres poll on the senate one is impactful - splitting the ticket is rare - and can't always be priced in to advance forecasts. It's bad news for those (sticks hand up) wishing for Graham's demise though, who's probably my 3rd genie wish for tonight (Biden > Senate > Graham (McConnel is considered too unrealistic to flip))
