At a hearing on the matter in September, Powell revealed that she had held a meeting with Trump in the previous weeks at which she urged him not to pardon Flynn so they could continue fighting out his case.
I think i'm seeing the same thing. That statement distancing trump from his staunchest warrior Sidney, with no explanation, has shocked a lot of people. There will emerge a consensus view on how this too is all part of the plan but I think they'll lose quite a few at this juncture, the ones for whom the effort required to continue to Believe is harder than facing up to the idea that maybe they've been misled. This seems to be the tipping point for lots of Trumpers. On the right wing site I'm browsing, the general view is wtf. They have realised they need to stop believing every conspiracy theory put forward by their side.
They're recounting the vote in Georgia a third time? That's totally stupid tbh.
I'm not an expert on US libel law, but if she was tweeting that stuff on behalf of Trump, while employed by his campaign etc, there's the possibility of a case against him for what she's said.smug face re sidney, that was quick.
Maybe she's been dropped so that when she gets sued by the thousands of people she's accused of taking bribes from Hugo Chavez its just her thats liable? Or did the president have a moment of sanity and realise she was not actually useful anymore, too batshit even for him.
Indeed it was(wasn't it one of Indira Gandhi's Sikh bodyguard's that assassinated her ?)
That seems likely, though I presume Giuliani and the rest knew what she was going to come out with at the press conference. In fact you almost wonder how they split the topics up beforehand: 'okay, I'll take the observers being more than 6 feet away. What are you doing? Bribes and boxes of votes, right. Sidney, you're all over the Matrix and dead communists? Check. Right, who's taking the giant space rabbits and hair dye?'smug face re sidney, that was quick.

((((satire))))) How can it possibly compete? That seems likely, though I presume Giuliani and the rest knew what she was going to come out with at the press conference. why would the FC&DO funded media say thatPurely by coincidence I’m sure, just heard on the BBC World Service that the phrase, ‘conspiracy theories’ is one of the most common, according to the Oxford English Survey for words of the year.
At some point there's going to be insider account of the trump team's decision making in the post election period. I'd love to hear the exact steps taken that lead to them doing a press conference in a garden centre. And then the latest one. Apart from shovelling layer upon layer of mad shit, it wasn't even a good set of conspiracy theories. How the fuck did they end up dancing to the tune of the wildest crazy qanon person in the room? It's not so much the last days of Rome as the last days of Alan Partridge.((((satire))))) How can it possibly compete?
He didn't actually quite say that though. He said that Trump's followers should threaten to withhold votes and money unless they 'get out of their basements to demand that action must be taken to fix steal of the 11/3 GA election'. It's a bit different from saying they shouldn't vote for them. He's saying that they should make demands of their senators which (disregarding the actual nature of the demand) is pretty reasonable. It’s going brilliantly for the GOP, the whole trump legal team doing them proud.

The Supreme Court of the United States on Monday took no action to overturn a lower court decision that allowed the counting of late-arriving mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania.
President Donald Trump’s campaign had sought to exclude mail-in ballots that arrived after election day.
In 4-4 decision in October, the high court upheld the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s ruling that said ballots postmarked by election day can arrive up to three days after the election.
The court later handed the Trump campaign a victory with an order saying that late-arriving ballots must be segregated before being counted.
To undermine the election result and create a narrative of a stolen election and a legal system that favours the democrats. Liberals who think this is about Trump believing the SC will overturn the result are as stupid as republicans who think the SC might do just that. Why are they even doing this, when segregated votes don't change the outcome?

You haven't read the thread then?there are, to my knowledge, no liberals who think that.
Cos it's the best they can do.Why are they even doing this, when segregated votes don't change the outcome?
