Hope not. Can't, of course, speak for others but after years of arguing with right wing Americans, am wondering if there is a way to see them as anything else but opponents.

Am talking about those who are moneyed up and see socialism or anything remotely to the left of their worship of capital as a serious threat. Not voters who believed Trump would provide an alternative to the same old same old.
