US election 2020 thread

Anyway, it doesn't mean what Don Jnr thinks it means. Sod the violence, where are the peaceful protests by pissed-off republicans outraged that a fraudulent election has been stolen from them? That's the real point about the lack of action right now - the vast majority of those who voted for Trump accept that he has lost fair and square and are moving on already.
Or they're plotting something. Evil plans don't happen overnight you know

Oh diddums. Are you upset?

Poor little Count. The rest of the sane world is celebrating. You're still welcome to the party.
I enjoy the MAGA tears just like anyone but this repy is so pathetic.

Don't expect me to feel good about the Presidency of a guy who wants to lock-up anarchists.

they don't want to come out and protest for a Loser

they like politicians that win

its right out of Trump playbook

Yeah but he's not referring to this, he's referring to what the right have been claiming that BLM protestors and the like are up to. And ignoring the fact that successive Republic and Democrat administrations have let cities like Detroit and Chicago crumble.
Ah yeah, you're probably right.

Of all the things to be pissed off/disappointed/disillioned with about Biden, some comment at some point about locking up anarchists is a bit of a weird one to fixate on.
I'm sure I've also mentioned the Crime Bill and his pro-imperialist positions. He voted for the Iraq War, and to repeal Glass-Stealgall. Why would I celebrate the election of someone like that?

I know that's what he was talking about, but I think his words also shone a light on something else - ie, the total smoke and mirrors operation Trump's support consisted of.

still got around 70 millions votes

not all smoke and mirros

just the bit were they said they would lead a revolution if he lost

he casting shade on the BLM protest is what I think he is attempting to do with the tweet

The best chance of violence was always a narrow EC win for Trump.
I agree, but from the Trump supporters, which I think you also mean? This is one of the biggest takeaways for me from what I've been hearing from Americans regarding the sense of relief they were feeling yesterday. The sense of entitlement of thugs and racists - this is our country now - strikingly similar to the crap we had here immediately after the Brexit referendum.

No it's not, especially as some people who call themselves anarchists have probably voted for him, aswell those on the left.

I guess it depends on how you read it then doesn't it?
It's the most reasonable interpretation of it unless you're intent on ascribing sinister stuff that doesn't really exist. These cunts are dead in the water now. No need to make stuff up.

A narrow EC win with a large lead for Biden in the popular vote combined with the widespread voter suppression tactics would have led to large protests on the scale seen earlier this year that could easily have escalated on both sides. The possibility of McVeigh style revenge attacks remains but the right don't really do sustained widespread street protests so there's very little that could escalate to a civil war.
