US election 2020 thread

I wonder at what point Twitter will just turn him off? Got to be a line in the sand somewhere, would have thought it would be encouraging people to try and stop vote counting by physical force.

Nope. The de-Trumpification of the GOP "He was a democrat all along" will begin within days and will be led by those already tarnished beyond salvation allowing the traditional rightwing twats like Romney to jump in.
The same Romney that marched for Black Lives Matter

They appear to have reeled him in at last. But left him with his phone.

The White House has called a lid for the evening, meaning the president will not be making any public appearances for the rest of the day.

But Donald Trump has continued to tweet his baseless gripes about the election results

"Baseless gripes" - Even the BBC have had enough.

yep. It's even more skewed than the electoral college. Two per state regardless of size. And none to vote for at all if you live in DC.
Isn't that the Senate is Two per State regardless? Because the Electoral College is all over the place...eg; California has Twenty EC Votes, Florida 15 (might be wrong on that but it is in the double figures) Some states only have one EC vote. and some many.

PA deficit below 300k and still a million left to count

GA is reckoned to be knife edge and possibly in recount territory by the time they're done

Senate has two per state regardless - so states ranging from under 1 million to nearly 40 million. The electoral college is done more proportionally - California has 55 - but all states have a minimum of 3 votes, so it still isn't particularly proportional. House of Reps is more proportional, but still skews somewhat in favour of smaller states. Plus DC isn't a state so doesn't get any senators at all. None of its systems give equal weighting to all votes, but some of the systems are way out.

It's a system that was set up long before many of the current states even existed. What might have made some sense 200 years ago doesn't make so much sense today.
