The American mass shooting thread

Well, the AR-15 ain't a weapon of war.
Doesn't even get used in wars.
The US military does not use it.

Other militaries do not use it.

It is not a combat rifle. It is not an assault rifle.

It does get used by hunters.

Oh ffs its a look alike assault weapon, it's advertised as tactical for operators to do hard core tactical operations and allows you to eject multiple cartridges all over the bedroom floor😂🙄.

Ammosexuals🏳️‍🌈 we are here
We are armed
Take cover! 😱.

If I had the cash I'd maybe get a. 22lr or extra walty a. 22 magnum semi automatic Ar15 in the UK.
But I'd need to join a club get a FAC buy a safe persuade my GP and the police I was suitable keep it locked up etc etc etc.

Though if you want a. 22 semi automatic tactical style rifle your a bit odd but at least your not doing airsoft😂 proper check their hardrive people😂😂😂🤣

Are you still talking about literal guns? :hmm:

you are aware of the fetishization of the word tactical in the united states ?

jebus the school shooter was on reddit asking question in tactical gear on reddit leading up to the shooting

saying that the Ar-15 is quite comman in the states as its in almost everyones gun cabinit and is reasonable affordable
and easy to uses with little training

Quiet time now - question wasn’t for you.

Sorry, was a bit brusque.

Reason I ask is because the word “tactical” gets spammed around so much as to be almost meaningless in selling a wide range of products, and also that the main contexts I’ve seen it used for rifles isn’t for advertising AR-15 and similar platforms for the consumer market.

Which particular advertising are you thinking of, out of interest?
There you go sold by a tactical shop for operators🙄.
That's actually a pistol because its got a 10 inch barrel with an arm brace🙄.

The correct term is modern sporting rifle

So not for general consumer market, right?

Gets really weird to me when they call things like this “pistols”…

nope it's a hobby gun if you want a rifle with a barrel less than 16 inch you need a federal licence.
If you want a 10 inch barreled pistol with an arm brace that's legal🙄
