For justifying bringing guns in to School's
that's America at the moment
he superintendent of Broward County Public schools, Robert W. Runcie, sent a letter to the families of Stoneman Douglas High students to alert them to the new rule which is similar to security measures at airports and professional sports venues.
He said any student without a clear backpack would be provided one at no cost after spring break, which takes place next week.
Students will also be required to wear identification badges at all times while in school while staff members have badges as well.
Mr Runcie told families the district was considering using metal-detecting wands at school entrances and installing permanent metal detectors.
Other steps designed to better protect students including evaluating “code red” active-shooter protocols and drills and upgrading surveillance camera systems.
Its Ok folks, they've got the problem sorted! You really couldn't make this shit up.

Pretty big MarchForOurLives demo at the horrible new US embassy in London earlier. I have a feeling it’s going to be much larger in the US than people are expecting today.
My prediction is that marches in major cities will go fairly smoothly, but as soon as the sun goes down, in at least one smaller city away from the coast with a militarised police force and a reasonably sized black population, a bunch of kids are going to be teargassed. The Guardian's live coverage should be decent - they've got the student staff of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas school newspaper as special correspondents. They let the students guest edit their US site yesterday too, which is pretty cool imo.
March for Our Lives: hundreds of thousands demand end to gun violence – live
Looks quite a turnout in DC, and elsewhere. Good stuff.
soros' tab for that will be enormous.
what the fuck?
Amazing what awful shite people come out with:
What kind of sociopath do you have to be to even think of something like this? Even if you disagree, you have to remember that this a a minor child, who survived a horrific crime.
Here's a rather good talk by an annoyed German talking about this myth of "Nazi gun control":Amazing what awful shite people come out with:

yeh there were militias of all hues, not just fascist. there were rather more guns floating about in the years immediately after the first world war, what with the freikorps and that. i've not seen anywhere cite availability of firearms as a cause for the nazis' rise, but go on and find some evidence.Wasn't Germany awash with guns in the period leading up to the Nazis taking power? Surely it was one of the factors that led to their swift rise? There were militias out marauding, backed by the Nazis.
I have only read one book about the Nazis' rise to power but it mentions the post war availability of arms and the prevalence of militias.
