The 2024 UK General Election - news, speculation and updates

I don't get the deal with Corbyn winning in North Islington. Why does it matter?
It’s massively important to a very tiny percentage of the electorate, and incredibly unimportant to the vast majority of the electorate.

Guess one is over represented on here?

Ultimately, who gives a flying fuck though?
Turnout surely matters for when centrist dad's like j o brien try to claim a victory for sensible politics like his. After what's seen all around as the worst government in history, in a get the tories out election, a low turn out is an evaluation of starmers offering.

John McDonnell just said “Let’s rejoice at getting rid of the Tories, that’s good enough for me.”

Always liked him, smart guy. Wonder if he’d become leader instead of Corbyn if Labour would have done better?
