Snooker: Coral Players Championship 2019 (ITV4)

That was special. His control of the cue ball at the top end of the table has very few peers. Perhaps Ding, who he mentioned when talking to Rishi afterwards. I think they've been close since the 2007 Masters. I'm not sure of the link to Liang, who he also mentioned.

And BBC, please get Alan McManus on board for the WCs. Some of his remarks on O'Sullivan's long pots were priceless.

"Stop it!"
"Shiver me timbers!"

Am doing now, ta. From Llandudno I remember the Great Orme tramway well.

I didn't say last time but ta for your post on the Players' Championship Final. I was doing something else and noticed your post which meant I got to see the O'Sullivan 1000'th century - had been hoping to see it for ages and I'd have missed it otherwise :)

Second person ever to 1000 centuries  class.

I can't be arsed to start a new thread, given that they've got only one session of the whole tournament left. However, anyone been watching the Tour Championship? O'Sullivan trounced Robertson in the first session yesterday, but looked a bit disinterested this afternoon. His long game was shite, even if he nailed one beauty of a snooker behind the brown.

They're 8-8 going into tonight's best-of-9.

Not worth a new thread but the China open has just had this. A Stuart Bingham 147. Gotta say it's an outstanding break, don't think he is anything other than inch perfect with position the whole break. Enjoy the commentary free silence of snooker's perfection, in a land of one billion people and a dozen in the crowd!!! :D

A top quality break. Not one if those 'easy' set of balls starting points

A little, but it competes with work and this weekend the rugby for my time. The seven frame format is pretty unforgiving, so I might try and find time tomorrow.

OK, I watched none of the afternoon session, because I don't think it was on Quest. However, I tuned into the evening session, which lasted all of about half an hour. I only saw two frames but Selby looked fairly good.

I've watched fuck all of the CofC up until today. However the first session of the final was top draw stuff. Neither Robertson nor Trump were making mistakes, and both were taking all their frames in one visit. It could be a late one tonight.

I'll confess I went to bed at 8-8, which is very professional of me, but a bit lousy as a snooker fan. What I saw of the second session wasn't quite as good as the afternoon set, but still top stuff. It was interesting what they were suggesting about Trump possibly being tired, having played in China the previous Sunday.

Anyway, the NI Open starts tomorrow, and appears to be on Quest.

interval atm - Ronnie's 4-0 up - Murphy needs to win five in a row - probably not going to happen is it?
